For the last five years, I’ve had the honour and privilege of aligning my career with Steve Moffat. To have had that opportunity is something I will always treasure.

Steve was so much more than a work colleague, mentor and partner. He became like a father to me and to my children, and his impact on our lives is something I will carry with me forever.

I know the community, far and wide, will feel this loss deeply. Steve was a wonderful mentor, a true pillar of the community, and someone who touched the lives of so many. He will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

To Di, Kate, Jade and the entire family, my heart breaks for you. I feel incredibly honoured to have been a part of Steve’s life and will forever be grateful for the memories, guidance and friendship he gave so generously.

Rest peacefully, Steve. You will be deeply missed and never forgotten. by @katesmith.property
