15 years ago, when I introduced my Zero Risk Commission Policy, people thought I was CRAZY!

I am committed to ensuing that you LOVE any art piece you have in your home. I appreciate that sometimes, you cannot articulate why one piece talks to you and a similar one does not.

For this reason, I have a Zero Risk Commission Policy. We discuss what works in your space and what colours you prefer - the size can be custom as I have all my panels made especially for me to ensure a clean and interesting wood grain. You can say “I love "Trumpet Vine" but I would like a bit more pink in it”. During the process, I will send you a high res image and you can let me know if you love it or not. If you do, we will arrange payment. If not, you can decide not to more forward or I can start again.

I take this commitment very seriously and I really do not want you to feel you have to take a piece just because you commissioned it. How can I afford to do that? I have a number of galleries always looking for new works and I do not always have the inventory. If you don’t love it, I am confident that someone else will!

Happy New Year!!

Thought I would post a few of my favourite paintings and a bit about myself. In no particular order....

• I am a contemporary abstract painter striving to capture the joy of being in nature - my cottage in Northern Ontario is my place of inspiration
• Love, love, love colour and texture
• I work ONLY with a palette knife to keep my work loose and not fussy
• Based in Toronto, Canada
• Come from a creative family - my sister, Helen and my Grandmother both professional artists
• Co-Founder of Creative Adventures- hosting art retreats for non-artists in France and Canada
• Run Art Alchemy - an artist studio for 5 artists
• Created the Pi ART Squared show... an exhibition featuring only 12" round paintings
• Vice President, Society of Canadian Artists
• Elected Member Copley Society of Art, Ontario Society of Art, Society of Canadian Artists
• Bachelor of Fine Arts from Western University
• Love doing art shows and meeting people who love art
• Travel internationally to do art exhibitions
• Love to work with my clients to create that perfect commission - created my Zero Risk Commission Policy to ensure every commission a success!

Lots of questions about my Fine Art Prints....

Each print is custom ordered and printed just for you, providing maximum options! They are printed on art canvas and laminated with a UV coating to prevent fading. The colours are very true - the only thing missing is the texture!

Prints can be ordered:
- Rolled (good for large pieces that are being shipped)
- Stretched: canvas print is stretched on a 1.5" wooden stretcher. Sides can wrap (the image wraps around the side) or be printed black or white
- Framed: print is stretched and framed. I typically recommend a white floating frame but there are other options.

My prints are designed to be large format- about 24" but, with the larger pieces such as "Chasing Light", portions of the painting my be printed to create custom sizes. Typically prints can be made up to 150% of the original paintings. They can be printed larger if viewed from a distance.

If you are unsure of the size you need, please create a 12” x 12” square of green painters tape on your wall. Then send a few photos with some context of the space – ideally straight on if you can, including any walls, doors etc thst may affect the print size.

Go through my website (Print section) and let me know what you are drawn to. I will then superimpose the prints in your space (using the green taped square as a guide) That way, you can visualize a piece in your space.

I will then calculate the cost, including shipping if required and ship your joyful Kate Taylor print.

Protests are causing a lot of issues in Paris. We were told the L'Orangerie would be closed - even though we had tickets but....good news! We found an entry point and we're anle to see the show. Amazing but unfortunately, they did kick us out early due to concerns on the street.

@creativeadventuresevents is here! 🎨

This beginner’s art retreat is one of our favorites to host. They explore mediums, techniques, and ways of discovering what they truly connect with in the world of art. We couldn’t be happier to have them in our chateau this autumn.

One of the things I LOVE about our Creative Adventures in France is the food!!!!

Megan and Val - trained at Cordon Bleu- spoil us rotten and always delight in interesting and innovative tastes. I like to be surprised but today, snuck into the kitchen at Manor and Maker to take a peek!!
