My vision for this year was to create a meadow of sorts. But I wasn’t sure how to create it based on the yard shape and the invasives that grow here. So I created to large rectangle meadows so that it is surrounded by mowed lawns and gardens. I measured and measured then staked it out to line up with the steps from the house and the steps to the garden. It has taken me years and years of gardening to get to this point. And what I love about gardening is that is forever changing , depending the environment- a tree falls there is suddenly full sun where there was shade… trees grown more and make more shade where it was once full sun. It evolves and grows and changes. Soon i’ll have to mow it down and then watch it grow all over again. by @kateuhry

Last bouquet of the season. Rain tomorrow and then a frost. Saving these last flowers for myself. Thanks to all who came out and supported my new venture and helped make a difficult year better because of flowers 💐.

Happy Almost fall.
Bouquets and mason jars are stocked on the stand all weekend. Unfortunately eggs are sold out already. But stop over and pick up some flowers on this gorgeous day. While you’re at it pick up some Apples 🍎 at @marchfarm down the road.
Stand is one mile from there on Munger lane.

Last days of summer. With a hint of fall in the bouquets. I have two bouquets on the stand now waiting for their new home and four mason jars. Fresh eggs 🥚 are on the bottom shelf.
DM for directions. If you live in Bethlehem I’m just about two miles north on Munger lane. Old white cape. Stand is in front of gray Garage. Open till 6 today.

And now I’m cutting back the garden.

It’s been a roller coaster of a summer — full of love and sunshine, time with my sisters and family, flowers, and traveling around New England.

But everything has to end at some point.

There’s a cool breeze this morning, Labor Day, as if Mother Nature is telling us to get ready. The garden is beginning to fade, the days are getting shorter, and fall is quietly making its way in.

Fall will come and pass into winter, and the garden will rest. And somehow, before we know it, we’ll begin again.

I’m not quite ready to let summer go. But I’m grateful for all that it held.
