I am THRILLED to have co-written a song on Beneath the Neon Glow which has gone in at No.5 on the Official Album Chart!!! 😱🥳 There aren’t enough words to say how much of a pleasure it was to write Let It Burn with Elles, and to sing backing vocals on three of these glorious tracks (inc this lil gem) Thank you Elles for inviting me to do this, and for being someone who continuously inspires, encourages and cheerleads everyone in your path. Got together with the wonderful @daisychuteofficial to write this last week. I’m so excited about this lil song I could burst. So much so I think I’ll be forced to play it live at my next show which is with the wonderful @edbluntmusic upstairs at The Red Lion in Manningtree on Thursday 11th June (see what I did there 😏) It’s going to be all kinds of lush. I have a really special double header coming up on June 11 in Manningtree with the wonderful @edbluntmusic Ed and I first met at an amazing online writing retreat run by Chris Difford (Squeeze) in 2020. It was mid pandemic and relief to be doing something creative. We got paired together to write a song (we really need to finish that song Ed!!) and have kept in touch ever since. I can’t wait to play a show with him, and who knows, maybe we’ll team up for some songs... 😉We’d love to see you there. Ticket link in my bio x by @kateybrooks

☢️MEGA! 🌍☢️ Massive thanks to the legendary @thejohnkerr @bbcradioulster for giving my new single ‘Bloom’ a spin on his The Late Show last night! I was Nottingham bound opening up for the legendary @robertfinleymusic @rescuerooms when I got the news! Enjoyed listening to the show back such a good one as always. Hey lovelies, I know I’ve been sooo quiet on here lately. I’ve been burrowing away with different projects and enjoying life, and anyone who knows me will know I’m terrible at remembering to document anything I’m doing😂 But life is good, and I have lots of music to share with you soon - some as a songwriter (who’s enjoying Bloom btw? 😍), some as a singer-songwriter. I’m gonna share a little snippet of a new stripped back track from me very soon, but in the meantime here are some moments I did remember to take a picture of… starting with meeting a songwriting hero of mine @guyachambers during his concert at pizza express. I had the absolute joy of getting to jam a song together on stage, and it was a really uplifting and inspiring afternoon listening to his stories and songs. 2 - watching my brilliant pal Elles Bailey play her new banger of an album (and our song Let It Burn which she killed) to a packed out Islington Assembly Hall on the first night of her tour. 3 - cherry blossom needs no explanation 😍4 - celebrating one of my favourite’s bday 5 - our beautiful Rufus ❤️6 - Ru and I enjoying the view in Wales7 - a couple we stopped to get directions from on our walk in Wales. 8 - Camden in the sunshine9 - enjoying our new flat (oh yes we’ve moved back to London! 😍)10 - Bloom on the brain - go listen!11 - Bloom/Lady Nade receiving the radio love it deserves 😍12 - Bonny knows13 - finally hanging out with some of the lovely MIFT crew 14 - The Waitress - go see it!15 - Ernie’s Disney prince eyes 😍16 - IPhone serving up some archives 17 - Duke turning into a softy by @kateybrooks
