Oops I spent 5 weeks bopping all over Vietnam and didn’t post about it until now (part 1) In January, I had the chance (thanks to taking a leave of absence) to travel back to vietnam after 20 years!

Safe to say, a lot has changed since I last visited. This trip was so so special to me because in weird sense, it was like a “homecoming” of sorts. A lot of things clicked for me when it came to understanding where I came from. I got to see the places where my family grew up, eat a ton of insanely good (and inexpensive) food, meet a bunch of my lovely family members, AND improve my Vietnamese speaking level from elementary to middle school lolol. If you ever get the chance to go to Vietnam, pleaseeeee do it. Obviously I’m biased but the people, the sights, and the dishes all make it so worth it.
