Years of sadhana, countless lessons, and a heart full of gratitude. 🪷✨

Presenting my Kathak Rangmanch Pravesh, Mayurah 🦚✨
A Rangmanch Pravesh is a significant milestone in a dancer’s journey, where years of sadhana, dedication, and devotion come together in a formal solo debut on stage. 🪷

Under the guidance and blessings of my Guru, Dr. Pali Chandra @palichandra_kathak , and with the love and support of my parents, sister and everyone who has been a part of this journey, I step into this new chapter with folded hands and a grateful heart. 🙏🏻

Some journeys are too special to be put into words. This one is mine. ❤️ by @kathakwithgurukul

Though Aanya Arora has been studying at the University of Edinburgh and away from regular classes, Kathak has remained close to her heart.

From workshops and performances to sharing her dance and practising riyaaz in the university studio, she continues to carry Kathak wherever she goes.

That’s the Gurukul spirit—taking Kathak beyond the classroom and into life!

✨ Sufi Noor | A Journey of Divine Love ✨

Conceptualised by Dr. Pali Chandra and Somna Tugnait in 2009, Sufi Noor has travelled across three countries, bringing together the grace of Kathak and the mysticism of Sufi poetry.

Here, the nayika finds her beloved in the Almighty. Her Piya is none other than the Divine himself. ❤️

“Aye Ri Sakhi, More Piya Ghar Aaye” comes alive in an intimate baithaki andaaz, with the soulful live vocals of Nawab Sabri.

A story of longing, surrender and a love that transcends the earthly to unite with the Divine. ✨

Space. Earth. Wind. Water. Fire.

The universe moves through us, and through Kathak, we give it form. ✨

Five Elements is a soulful exploration of the cosmic energies that bind our existence, brought to life through pristine rhythm, storytelling, and movement. Conceptually envisioned by Guru Pali Chandra and performed with passion by the dancers of Gurukul, this production is an ode to the elemental forces within and around us.

An unforgettable milestone from August 15th, 2009! Pali ji, and her wonderful team invited by the Consulate of India to perform was an honor. Heartfelt thanks to Incredible India, for making it all possible. ✨🇮🇳

Gurukul is about everything that is dance.

Although our roots are deeply set in Kathak, this dance form is so much more to us. It is a way to communicate, connect and bring life to life.

Through dance we express, explore, celebrate, learn and experience every moment with joy. From ages 5 to 65, there is a place for everyone at Gurukul.

In these clips, Dhanashree Ma’am, Janhavi Thorat, Sheetal Adhvaryu, and Anamika Jayan show us the many beautiful ways we celebrate dance at Gurukul.

Because dance isn’t just something we do—it’s a way we experience life.
