Ahh this bottlebrush!
It’s the scrappiest looking thing in my garden…absolutely awful looking!
And then like clockwork it’s suddenly the most over-decorated, ridiculously bright, crazy thing in the garden.
It’s either totally on or totally off - no middle ground at all.
I think I like it ;)

I actually COOKED lunch..on a Sunday,.for no reason. Who even am I??? I love Sundays..not that I don’t have any other days of the week “off” but Sunday is the only one that feels “legit” and like I shouldn’t be at my computer editing…. I gardened allllllll day, went nowhere, except the bakery to get croissants.
On the lunch front, these little frittatas turned out so good!!! I’m not sure what I did different but they were better than expected! The chutney is the Green Tomatoe Chutney from @merricksstore it’s the best,..though I plan to make my own chutney soon :)
Now,…I want a new cookbook and want recommendations if you have any?? I don’t want ridiculous ingredients I can’t find,..or anything too extravagant. Suggestions?
That mustard was Cams Father’s Day present, it’s next level (don’t freak out, he got other stuff too…not just a jar of mustard,…he also got the chutney..😂).
Oh..& the blue crockery was my mother-in-laws,…I’ve inherited it and am now obsessed with crockery…of all kinds!!

I don’t do regrets,…I mean..why would you?!? But if I’m being honest…maybe I have one….
It’s here in today’s shoot….
I WANT AN IN-GROUND TRAMPOLINE!!!
I’ve wanted one my whole life,..since I first realised they existed when I was about 8 and we went to our family friends house and their neighbours had one…my mind was blown!!
So god help my poor husband because I reckon I’m still going to get one in this lifetime…. I might be the only person who grows up, has kids, raises them to full adulthood and THEN gets an in-ground tramp :). I’m fine with that :)

Just a quick poll to see if we can even be friends….?
Dogs on furniture?? Go.
(I mean,..I guess we could still be friends..but we couldn’t share a house,…coz obviously I’d bring my dog..and he’d be on the furniture..even if you bought the furniture :)).

I feel like there should be a better or nicer word than “grave”,.. Is there one?? I think “resting place” is a bit much too….
Anyway, point is I picked these for my dad on Sunday from my garden - blue gum and plum tree blossom :) He’d have liked them I’m sure :).
No sad face emojis necessary, I’m not sad on Fathers Day, I have the best dad in the world and though I’d love it if he were still here I know that he would not have liked to get so old that he couldn’t do life they way he liked to. So,..you can’t have everything…x
This is his favourite song,..and thus my favourite song :)

At this time of the year I set my alarm for 7:10ish and get out of bed around 7:20ish…unless I have to get up early for something…. The other morning I woke up before my alarm….& actually got up…and this was the prize I got. I loved it!! Grabbed my camera,..which is always right there, and took a photo. There is nothing I could go and buy at the shops that I would love more than this :) ..except a corgi,…I want a corgi next :) Some family members are currently voting no for the corgi idea but my vote is worth about 6 standard votes and there’s only 4 of us here,..so….:)
In other news, this is my new favourite song :)

Spring sprang perfectly don’t you think?! Here’s a little bit of what I saw today.
I want the truck! But at the same time I can literally feel the heavy steering in my arms as I look at it,..but it would be worth it.
The jumping dudes had just finished golf I think…yup they saw me taking photos, I’m stealth but not invisible, if you’re golfing at noon on a Tuesday life’s ok I reckon :)
After this I ate cake for my sister’s birthday. A lovely start to the season :)

This is my current bedside table situation.. You either love him or you hate him :). I love him - apparently he’s a protector,…but I have a (mostly deaf and blind) dog at my feet and Cam on the other side so hardly need protecting!!!(😂🤷‍♀️). My in-laws got him in Japan in 1976 :)
The drawers came from the op shop..so long ago I can’t remember which one, the book is great, a few repetitive obvious pages but great.. the print I love, I think I got it at @vintageshed for next to nothing, maybe 6 yrs ago. I think the vase belongs to @jacqirusso ?? ..she knows where to find it :)
I could very happily shoot a coffee table book of people’s bedside tables..but I’d only want to shoot them completely unannounced…no tidying up or curating please…that’s no fun at all.
