I am delighted and honored to be included in the 2026 Almenara Art Prize Online Exhibition with all five of my submitted paintings. This is the first round in a prestigious international competition for living artists. Finalists will be announced September 15th, and winners will be announced at an award gala in Cordoba, Spain Nov. 6th. The exhibition runs through Nov. 30th.

Almenara is a non-profit initiative to recognize and promote art. In addition to the tremendous exposure, there are generous prizes for award winners.

Have you staying busy this summer? As a small sampling of what I'm up to these days in my nice, cool studio, here are a few of my paintings.

They are currently on view in Oil Painters of America's 2026 Online Summer Showcase: www.oilpaintersofamerica.com, along with many paintings from fellow members. I hope you'll check out the show, while you're keeping cool!

Oh, and many works are for sale, FYI.

Painting the watery reflections of the Yellow Flag Iris, seen in a lovely garden in Prague, was so much fun. Those distortions always thrill me.

Yellow Flag Reflections will be on view with NOAPS 2026 Associate Online Exhibition, from August 24, 2026, for one year. Be sure to view the show at noaps.org. to see and buy original art. I am so pleased to be an exhibiting artist and member of National Oil and Acrylic Painters' Society.
