I’m a late blooming artist, and this unexpected chapter has become one of the greatest adventures of my life! I’m still discovering my voice, still learning, and still surprised where the blank canvas takes me!

Before art, I was a pe teacher and coach in Jackson Hole, WY for 30+ years before moving to Boise.

My husband and I chose Boise intentionally to be near kids and grandkids.

We recently sold our house in July, purchased a house 6 doors down from our daughter and family and feel pretty lucky to spend time with our grands!

The home we purchased required some serious remodeling so we are “roughing it”- living on the sub floor while remodeling. Our furniture consists of camp chairs in the living room while we await paint, plumbing, electrical and flooring to arrive!! 😳

This will be our 14th home in our 47 years of marriage so it’s not our first rodeo, however, we hope it might be our last!

Thanks for following along!!

Join us for the Boise Open Studios Tour. Our flagship event. The first two weekends of October. Participating artists open their studios to the public. This event is free. Studios are typically open 10 to 6 Saturday and Sunday. Half the artist participate on the first weekend. The other half participate on the second. Click the link in our bio to explore the interactive map and see what artist you’d like to visit. This event is family, friendly, and a really fun way to engage with the community. Each artist will offer some education on how they make their art. Also, participants can win free art by grabbing a passport at any of the studios and getting your passport stamped at each place you visit. Once you fill it up, you can enter to win free art. Hope to see you there! #boisedev #boiseartevent #free #artevent #boiseopenstudios by @kathiholzerart

The greatest part of events such as @westerndesignconference is seeing old friends and meeting future ones. @kathiholzerart of @idahoartgallery is one of those but I can't remember which!
