What. A. Year

My resolution this NYE was to post more through the year.. so I figured I best catch up with a few snippets of last year first! Here’s to an even better 2026 by @kathrynwalkerdesign

For such a busy busy year the photos were seriously lacking! Incredibly grateful for all of the wonderful things I’ve worked on this year and all the wonderful people I’ve spent time with along the way, most of which is not in these pics. Here’s to an even better 2025 in this magical job✨ by @kathrynwalkerdesign

Channeling my inner @michellebristowcostume for this one.. Come to work with me on Peter Pan Goes Wrong! Spent the last couple weeks prepping for its transfer into the Lyric just in time for Christmas 🤩 Meant to post this last week but then realised on my last day I hadn’t filmed any clips of me actually doing any work, so enjoy lots of footage of me Pan stitching/waffling at @officialshoni 🤪 by @kathrynwalkerdesign

Now the PANdemonium has calmed, some workroom highlights from stitching with the dream team on @pangoeswrong 🤩 (P.S don’t wear denim skirts on pavement bead bashing days) by @kathrynwalkerdesign

Friday marked my last day at Glyndebourne for the 2023 season! 6 months, lots of friends, a lot of nuns (and literally no photos🙄) later.. a few days back home before I fly off to join the @pangoeswrong team next week! ✨ by @kathrynwalkerdesign

For Christmas this year I would like… Father Christmas to not use quite so much beard glue 🥴 Had the best two months working in a Christmas bubble everyday!! FC land, it was a pleasure 🎅 by @kathrynwalkerdesign

Before 2022 comes to a close, a quick look back on my design concepts and production images from ‘Don’t Just Sit There’. It was a pleasure to bring these two characters to life, and combine the use of props to illustrate other characters within the show!

From one opening night to another…
‘Don’t Just Sit There’ opened in the studio at Hull Truck last night!!

I’m so proud of this team, we’ve worked incredibly hard to pull this all together over the last few months, from R&D to the final show. All being members of @godbertheatrefoundation has given us so much confidence to create our best work, showing exactly what new arts grads who grew up in Hull can do!!

For most of us it’s our professional debuts since graduating and we’ve absolutely smashed it!! Thank you to the whole team and @jgodberco for your support, it’s been amazing 🤩

The show is on tonight also at 8pm, check out the Hull Truck website for tickets!! by @kathrynwalkerdesign

One hell of a pinch me moment, my first West End Gala Night 🤩 My name might only be small but it means the world. @doctorwestend you were a blast! by @kathrynwalkerdesign

Came to the end of my time on The Doctor with it opening in Brighton tonight ahead of its tour and west end transfer 🤩 The best time with the best people, thank you so much @michellebristowcostume and @atg_prods for having me!✨

•THE MAGIC FLUTE•

A closer look at the Queen of the Night, the tulle skirt featuring 2,500 laser cut and spray painted feathers, the hues imitating the night sky. As she collects the birds that signal the dawn, the feathers on her skirt grow.

The bodice features the same cut as the corset, with the wired shoulders and peplum addition adding presence.
