Me vs Me

So last week, life decided to absolutely fuck me by sending my immune system after my brain and spinal cord. And while i’m still being poked and prodded for a diagnosis, here’s what I know for sure.

In a world where tomorrow isn’t guaranteed, take it from someone who does what they can to optimise their health, that if life wants to fuck you, it’s gonna fuck you!! So get after it, chase your dreams and live your life intentionally.

I trust the universe and I trust God that he couldn’t have picked a more capable person to deal with this. My stubbornness and sheer belief in my own potential is going to win this battle. I’m so grateful to be surrounded by people who don’t nurture my fragility, but know my strength and push me forward regardless of the obstacle.

To be loved is to be seen, and i’m so appreciative of every heart, every message and every call I received last week. That was the village of strength that pushed me into my positive mindset this week.

The future is unknown, but I’m going to achieve every goal I have set out for myself, I’m going to show up for me and my loved ones, and I’m going to keep living a good quality of life until the day my body can’t keep up anymore.

And take this as an oath, out of pure spite, i’m going to run a marathon (fuck) by @kathshevy

an unreal 24 hours 💜

This was never just about fitness.

For 24 hours, we chose discomfort. We chose exhaustion. We chose to keep going when our bodies were telling us to stop.

Because for so many people, there is no “finish line.” There are people living with fear, control, violence and trauma every single day.

So we showed up for them.

For those who have survived.
For those who are still suffering.
For those who didn’t get the chance to walk away.

We may have only rowed for 24 hours, but the message is one we’ll keep standing behind long after the ergathon ends.
