Art Fuel in Mallorca. ♥️ A Palette influenced by Spain and the amazing teaching artist who challenged and directed a creative, curious, strong, and supporting group of women. What a week to remember.
Yes, there were reds, including wine…. But also a challenge in Black, white, and titanium buff! My cup is full and I am so grateful for this time!
Thank you, Terri Froelich and Art Fuel! And of course, H! ♥️ by @kathyelliottart

Seeing art in real life is even bigger than any expectations. It makes me pause and wonder! These are some of my favorites for today! From Madrid…
I love each of the artists work but love to see work I have only seen in books.
For example, Egon Schiele’s landscapes are different than his figures, and Mondrian’s early work always pulls me in. .
I stayed with a more subtle palette today!!! Yes, I do tend lean into less color in palettes!
A perfect day of museum hopping and gelato! by @kathyelliottart

Recently, but mostly always, I look at completed work as well as work on the brink of completion or maybe “the what was I thinking”paint over it stage. Each time it takes me on a path questioning everything, but the same thoughts come to mind usually.. lines, mostly subtle color, and the spaces between. As I get older, I seem to search for more spaces between! In art and in life!
Looking
Revisiting
Rethinking
Overthinking

What would I change?
For now….
Nothing! Sometimes minute hindrances. Or everything! Everyday presents new ways of seeing and thinking, considering all possibilities and moving ahead. What can I play with next!

I am inspired by 90+ year olds who are as curious as ever and continue to grow! Thank you to my role models!
And thank you for my mentors who encourage and talk with me when I want answers, quick solutions, yet usually hear “”just sit with it, the art will lead the way!”
Each of these paintings went through that process…
Thank you to all who have helped me learn and grow and learn to sit with the work! There are so many to thank! ♥️ by @kathyelliottart

I’m honored the “The Breath Between” is in the VAST 175-Mile Exhibition in Denton, TX. I am excited this painting received the Juror’s Award!

The show is fabulous, so many stunning pieces. It’s a must see if you are near!

Thank you to VAST for the beautiful space to share, and to all who have worked to make this another special event.

Thank you to juror William Bardin.

Congratulations to all the accepted artists and to those who received awards! It is beautifully curated and a joy to see.

I actually found the beginning of this painting, plus a few of the many things that inspire me, from nature to structures, and more. Plus the time it takes to just look… I often see something unexpected that either stays or must go away! I will not tell ….but actually have most likely forgotten…. It happens a lot! by @kathyelliottart
