U.S. History, as it pertains to Indigenous peoples, is a history of Settler Colonialism - a state founded on the idealogy of white supremacy, a widespread practice of slavery, and policies of land theft and genocide.
Settler Colonialism requires violence, forcing them to hand over children, land, and resources. The colonizer regime institutionalized violence. From the beginning, the economic, political, and social order was established - placing the White Male firmly at the top of the hierarchy leaving the rest of the people at various lower rungs.
