Yesterday, I lost one of the most important people in my life.
Mom Mom was — and always will be — the most selfless person I’ve ever known. Nothing was ever about her, even in the darkest of times.

After my Grandpa passed, she used to tell me that I was the reason she got out of bed in the morning.
What I never told her was that she was the reason I got out of bed.

When I was little, she would sing “You Are My Sunshine” to me — but she was my sunshine.
She was the light to my dark, the positive to my negative.
There won’t be a single day I don’t think about her.
And I’ll look for her in every sun I see.

She’s my sunshine.
