We had such a blast today at Owen’s family weekend at Menlo College! OAKtober Fest was so fun! We kicked off the day with a baseball game (parents vs the players - it was pretty hilarious to see!)

Shop local. Buy the books. Support the little shops that make our communities special! 📚❤️

One of my favorite things is discovering unique, independent bookstores like the quirky Crow Bookshop in San Ramon, CA! @thequirkycrowbookshop

Lately, I’ve been making a conscious effort to slow down, embrace a little more whimsy, and say YES to the things that bring me joy. And supporting small businesses is definitely one of them!

Life is short. Buy the stickers. Browse the books. Make time for the little things. ✨

Want to post on Instagram faster? Here’s one of my favorite time-saving hacks!

I use iPhone Albums for EVERYTHING – conferences, community events, speaking engagements, family moments, you name it!

Instead of scrolling through thousands of photos and videos (I have over 100,000 on my phone 😬), I create an album, narrow it down to my favorites, and use that album to quickly create Instagram carousels, photo dumps, and Reels.

It’s such a simple trick, but it saves me SO much time! And the best part? You can remove photos from an album without deleting them from your camera roll.

Sometimes the simplest systems make the biggest difference!

Real estate agents – not sure what to post this week? Steal these 3 ideas! 💡

One of the biggest things I hear from agents is, “Katie, I just don’t know what to post!”

Here’s the good news – you don’t need to reinvent the wheel every week.🫶

Try one of these:

1. B-roll – Grab simple clips from your day and add helpful text.
2. Green screen – Share local news, market updates, or community happenings with your take.
3. Answer a question – What are buyers and sellers asking you right now?

That’s it! Three simple content ideas you can rinse and repeat.📝✍️🩵

Remember – your content doesn’t need to be fancy. It needs to be helpful, relevant, and YOU.

Celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this weekend in Carmel and Monterey!!

What a special weekend including wine tasting, yummy meals, lots of ocean views, meandering down cute streets and shopping and of course just some wonderful time together.

Paul planned this whole weekend and it was filed with lots of surprises and lots of love.

I’m so grateful for my husband- we’ve had our share of ups and downs but no one “gets” me like he does, no one makes me laugh like he does and no one lights up my heart like he does! I love you baby.

Instagram cutting off people’s heads in your carousel posts? 😬 There’s a fix!

If you’re posting a mix of vertical AND horizontal photos, look for the “Mixed” option under Ratio. This allows your photos to keep their original orientation instead of forcing everything into the same crop.

I use this all the time for events, conferences, community service, photo dumps and behind-the-scenes posts.

One important note: If you’re mixing photos AND videos in the same carousel, this option won’t work – those will need to be the same dimensions.

Did you know about this setting? Save this for your next carousel – and please, let’s stop cutting off people’s heads! 😂
