1 year ago today I gave my life to the Lord. And I can truly say that my life has changed for the better. I was stuck in a mindset that I had to prove that I was good enough to everyone around me, my coaches, and even myself. Getting wrapped up in what the world says about me led me down a path full of stress, sadness, and emptiness when I came up short of everything. I never felt good enough to be where I was and it was so draining. But I had people who surrounded me and loved me where I was, which is exactly what God had planned for me. Even when I was on this path of mental destruction, God was with me the whole time. I know now that I’m exactly who and where God wants me to be. I don’t need to prove myself to anyone because He is the ultimate judge of who I am. He led me down that path to bring me to Him. And when it was in His timing, He brought me to a new place surrounded by people who love me and push me to grow even further in my faith. I’m nowhere near perfect and I still fall short sometimes, but I know that God never calls me to be perfect and He meets me where I’m at. He is powerful. He is faithful. He is loving.
