Three days of fun and close racing onboard Slingshot at the J/70 NSW State Titles, hosted by Lake Macquarie Yacht Club!

Nothing beats racing in a tight one-design fleet, where every second counts! Plenty of action, and lots of laughs along the way.

We came away with 1st place in the Mixed Plus Division! 🥇

Big thanks to the Slingshot crew for having me onboard. Such a fun few days on the water with a great bunch! 🙌 by @katiespithill

Two USA trips. World-class competition. Plenty of unfinished business!

First up, back on the helm for the NYYC Women’s International in Newport, RI.
An incredibly strong international fleet, stacked with some of the best female racers in the world. The standard of racing was exceptional, with absolutely nothing given away. Every start, every manoeuvre and every tactical decision mattered. Tight racing, fierce competition and the smallest of margins separating places.

Finishing 5th in Newport was a result I am really proud of. We went toe-to-toe with some seriously talented teams, fought hard for every point and showed we could mix it with the best. I know we left a few opportunities on the table. That’s the beauty (and frustration!) of world class racing, there’s always more to find, and that only fuels the fire to come back stronger.

From Newport, it was across to San Francisco to join fellow teammates Juliet Costanzo, Sarah Parker & Stacey Jackson at the Women’s Match Racing World Championship. Another opportunity to line up against the world’s best, push hard and race at the highest level.

Two incredible events, plenty of lessons, great battles on the water and some unforgettable moments.

As much as I thrive on the competition, it’s also the people who make this sport so special. The teammates who give everything, the competitors who continually raise the bar, and the friendships built along the way.

A massive thank you to the sponsors and supporters who continue to believe in myself and team to make these opportunities possible:

To my teammates, family, friends and the incredible village behind the scenes who support me and keep everything running, I couldn’t do any of this without you.

Proud of the result. Hungry for more. Unfinished business! by @katiespithill

Yesterday unfortunately was not our day on the water. We sailed well but with some unforced errors we were unable to convert the races into wins and lost our spot in the quarter final on count back. We’re disappointed not to keep fighting but grateful to have been in the fight. Best of luck to all the remaining competitors, we are looking forward to cheering you on and finding out who the next world champion will be!

Thankyou so much for all the support and best wishes. We are so proud to be part of such a wonderful sailing community.

Can’t wait to keep pushing and come back even stronger.

BAAB AND COURTOIS TOP QUALIFYING IN SAN FRANCISCO 🏆 🇺🇸

American Lindsey Baab/ Fog Racing and defending World Champion Pauline Courtois and her Match in Pink by Normandy Elite Team of France topped the qualifying standings at the 2026 Women’s Match Racing World Championship after an impressive opening round robin on San Francisco Bay.

Baab and Courtois finished tied at the top with outstanding 10–1 records, well clear of the chasing pack. Baab’s only defeat came against Australia’s Juliet Costanzo, while Courtois’ sole loss was to Baab.

Behind the leaders, Dutch skipper Julia Aartsen and San Francisco local Nicole Breault both finished strongly at 7–4, securing third and fourth respectively.

Sweden’s Anna Östling advanced in fifth with a 6–5 score, followed by compatriot Martina Carlsson and New Zealand’s Megan Thomson, both at 5–6. France’s Lucie Gout claimed the final quarter-final position at 4–7, edging out Australia’s Juliet Costanzo.

The top 8 quarter-final line-up is now set with Baab facing Gout, Courtois taking on Thomson, Aartsen meeting Carlsson, and Breault lining up against Östling.

Imagine where sailing could take them… 💗⛵️

Such a privilege to be invited to speak at Opti Chicks 2026 along with Lisa, Emma and Eva and share a little of my sailing journey with the next generation of female sailors.

Looking around the room at so many girls who love sailing reminded me just how important it is for young sailors to see the different places this sport can take them — on the water and well beyond it.

Dream big. Take the opportunities. Keep learning. And keep knocking on doors.

Thanks to RPAYC, Opti NSW and everyone behind Opti Chicks for creating such a great weekend for these girls. 💗

The future of women in sailing looks pretty exciting. ⛵️

Newport. Complete. 🧡

20 teams. 10 races. Five days of racing in a fleet of identical IC37s at the inaugural NYYC Women’s International Championship.

We arrived in Newport as a new combination, in a new boat, racing together for the first time.

And we kept building.

As Katie Spithill said, “Our biggest win as a team is we never made the same mistake twice.”

The result: 5th overall, and the highest-placed team from outside North America.

But this campaign was about more than the result.

For co-founder Stacey Jackson, it’s about what comes next: “We want to keep creating opportunities for female sailors to come together and compete at the highest level.”

None of it happens without the partners, supporters, friends and family who backed the team and the vision, and helped make Newport possible.

And this is another important step in the process of building our team and our mission.

The journey continues. 🧡

The New York Yacht Club Inaugural Women’s International Championship was about so much more than racing.

It was about the world’s best women coming together with a shared dream to show the world what we can do.

For us there were moments when things didn’t go to plan. Moments that tested us. But there were also moments that reminded us exactly why we do this.

We leave this regatta incredibly proud. Not just of how we raced, but knowing we continue to be part of the change and the inspiration for the women who will one day stand on a start line and dream even bigger.

To everyone who has believed in us, supported us, cheered for us and shared this journey — thank you. You are part of this story too. 🙏🙏

Until the next start line. 🧡💙⛵️

This one stuck with me. ❤️

A pretty simple reminder from a woman I’ve looked up to for a long time in our sport. Katie Pettibone: Three-time Americas Cup and Two-time Around the World Sailor.

You don’t know which opportunities will come off. But you’ve got to be prepared to knock on the door in the first place.

Keep knocking. ⛵️

FIFTH OVERALL! 🧡🇦🇺

Shaw and Partners Women Racing finishes the inaugural NYYC Women’s International Championship in 5th overall and as the first non-North American boat.

What a week.

So many learnings, so much growth and a team that just kept getting better as the regatta went on, finishing the final day with a third and a second*.

We are incredibly happy with what we achieved here in Newport, but we also know how much we left on the table.

And perhaps that’s the most exciting part.

This is another chapter in what we’re building. There’s plenty more to come. 💪🏻🧡

“TODAY WAS DAY ONE.” 🧡

Co-founders Katie Spithill and Stacey Jackson talk us through a much stronger day on the water in Newport.

The team is looking at today as Day One. Things clicked, the speed was there and the results followed with back-to-back seconds in Races 5 and 6, followed by a sixth in Race 7.

The team finishes the day 8th overall, with confidence building and plenty more racing to come.

Bring on tomorrow. 💪🏻🧡
