This is one of the most sentimental photos I will ever take. I wrote my college admissions essay about the gratitude this little girl had for me simply taking her picture. The original photograph wasn’t edited, perfect, or posed. But her gratitude—to be noticed and celebrated—taught me authenticity in a way years of social media never could. That story, that moment, got me into UVM—proof that real connection matters more than perfection.

Day 25/50 of posting some shots.
We are officially halfway.

Nothing “picture perfect” (probably nothing close), just 50 days of showing up and sharing my work.

I have a lot of exciting projects on the way that I can’t wait to share here, but this halfway point feels like the right moment to step back from comparison and competition, and reconnect with why I love making art in the first place. I will be off social media for the next few months, but I will be collaborating and creating!!!

A reminder that you don’t have to be perfect at the things that make you happy. That’s not how you become perfectly happy. I can’t wait to finish out this series with you all shortly!
