I'm stepping outside of my mood-reader comfort zone and planning my October reads. 🫢

After rearranging my physical TBRs again to make some new ones fit, I decided I needed a way to tackle the stack. I typically read 6 books a month (2 physical, 2 audio, 2 ebook), so I picked out four from my tbr shelf (yes, I know there are five) with the following criteria - 2 books I've had f-o-r-e-v-e-r and 2 new additions. Have you ever stopped to consider how long you've had certain books?!? I have had A Tree Grows in Brooklyn for at least 15 years and never once opened it. 🫣 So, guess what's at the top of the list!!!

To make this a little easier, two of them will likely become audio books, starting with A Tree Grows in Brooklyn because she's a beefy one. After that, we'll see what I feel like. I also have some ARCs to get through, so those will fill in the ebook slots. Not gonna lie, this goal feels very lofty for me, and I have a high likelihood of failing because *moooooods*, but it's worth a shot, right?!

Fave: The Knight and the Moth by @rmgillig
Most shocking: Deadly Desserts by Jerry Jamison

It's the last day of the month, and I've got 8% left to finish....time to bust it out. @noelleihliauthor - this prequel has had me in an absolute choke hold. Well done. 👍

Anyone else binge read to squeeze in those final pages for the month?

In my attempt not to totally review bomb you, I forgot to post my last two reviews. 🤦‍♀️
Listen, I never claimed to be good at any of this, and I'm not looking to be the next great influencer....I just wanna share what I read with other bookish peeps!

The Knight and the Moth was EASILY my top read this month. @rmgillig, you are a queen! You made this anti-romance chick LOVE romantasy. As soon as I can, I will be finishing this duology.

21 Days of Fear by @hervecommere was such a unique take on a thriller, and I thoroughly enjoyed this total impulse buy.

Holy 💩 am I behind on sharing my reviews!!! They've been written, but my return to the working world delayed getting them all prettified on Canva.
I also need to close a couple of ARCs out on NetGalley 🫣

While I hate to do a review dump, here are the three ARCs that I've finished in the last couple of weeks. Keep an eye out for them to be released in the coming weeks - two of them hit my book rec list on Fable!

And, as always, thank you @netgalley @meyerbooks @heather_morrison_author @stormbooks_co @bloomsburypublishing for the opportunity to read these ARCs!!!

Surprise book mail!?!
Okay, well it would have been less of a surprise had I actually checked my email once in a while, but here we are. 🤷‍♀️

Who knew you could ACTUALLY win a Goodreads physical book giveaway?? And an ARC copy at that?!?

Well, THANK YOU to the publisher, @atriabooks, and @eilishquin for the opportunity to read this intriguing ARC!

When your obsession meets your craft, you end up with a badass coffee tumbler. 😁

Made this bad boy for myself because I wanted a Dungeon Crawler Carl coffee cup, and because I can. 😁

@mattdinniman thanks for creating such an amazing series and bringing out the sarcastic asshole AI in all of us! 😂

I was struggling to get my last physical book to stick, so it got delegated to the soft DNF pile. 🤷‍♀️
@rmgillig treated me right with the Shepherd King duology, here's hoping the Stonewater Kingdom does the same!

This is THE MOST I have read in a month to date, but that's the joy of being on medical leave from work, right?! I'll be heading back to the grind in a week, so I guess I need to make the most of these last few days and knock out a book or two. 😉

I'm not usually one to partake in trends, but I'm rather opinionated when it comes to my book selections. 🤷‍♀️

Any of your favorites make it to my slides?

Another Advanced Reader's Copy finished, albeit a few days after the release. 🫣 In my defense, I got it with just less than two weeks to get through it, and I'm not one to binge a book very often.
I love me a good non-fiction book, and am secretly obsessed with Mount Everest, so this was a great listen for me. Thank you @netgalley and @macmillan.audio for the opportunity to listen to this fantastic book!
