18 years ago, after MANY long hours of labor, this amazing human was born into this crazy world. Now, *bam* just like that, she prepares to enter the construct we call “adult” and I believe she will do amazing things but through it all If she continues to be kind and follow her own heart, and happiness she will be the greatest success in my eyes. @arwenpelletier , no matter how far you go, home will always be waiting in my arms. Happy birthday!! 💗🌕🚀🌎 mama. by @katiwords

2nd, 9th, 12th … oh to watch this child grow into a young woman. My heart bursts with pride and I can’t wait to see where following her happiness takes her in this world. by @katiwords

silent listen

Listen is the active form of silent-
they are each other and in being silent we can listen -
to others, to ourselves, to the whispers of the future that is leading us to it and the past to which we remain in until we allow ourselves to be silent and listen to our present, which will present our future.

As we conduct, we must listen & honor the necessary pauses in the symphony that is our life. Silent moments are still active. Passive motion is rest and in rest is the restoration needed to play the next verse.

Be silent … listen

fall a little more in love
with life
expand your perimeter
of possibility
take risks
do not gatekeep your life’s potential

your soul moves with direction
sit & listen to that direction

& then journey

had a little fun with editing … damn the ratios on iMovie … you get the idea. WTC site is a memorial, but also a hub of transportation, commerce, and joyful expression. It feels confusing, but also so perfectly American.

NYC is doing that crazy thing with the winter sunlight where the whole City looks like a sound stage. My friend Lisa has never been here so I’m acting as a tour guide. Also, my favorite street lunch - lamb over rice with extra white & red sauce.
