We’re thrilled to announce the commitment of Katja Wallin to join the Gustavus track and field family!

Katja, a versatile sprinter and middle-distance runner from Mounds View High School, has shown exceptional growth and dedication throughout her high school career. A key contributor to her team, Katja earned 3rd place in the 4x400 and 4th place in the 4x200 at the 2024 section meet and lettered as a freshman in cross country back in 2021. She competes in the 200m, 400m, and 800m, and has her sights set on qualifying for state in the 4x800. Known for her determination and team-first mindset, Katja is ready to bring her energy and commitment to the collegiate level.

Off the track, Katja has been a strong leader, serving in student council for three years and staying actively involved in YoungLife all four years of high school. She plans to study nursing at Gustavus and is eager to make a difference both on and off the track.

Welcome to the team, Katja! by @katja.wallin
