2025-2026 Maryland FFA State Reporter

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It’s hard to simplify a whole year into words. How do you explain what 365 days, or 525,600 minutes of your life was like when there aren’t enough words to describe it all? The hours of training, countless new relationships, real conversations with people, heartfelt laughs with one another, traveling to places I’ve never been, and making memories that will last a lifetime. It surely seems like an impossible task, but I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

To the members, who were my driving force since day one, thank you for giving me the grace to grow while being a leader. Thank you for reminding me what FFA truly is, and showing me what all it still can be.

To the advisors, whether you were mine or not, the support you have all shown my team and I this past year is truly something special. Thank you for trusting my team and I to lead your chapters members this year, and showing us that you all are still some of our biggest supporters.

To my family, friends, and everyone in between, who have been my rock, my constant throughout this year. Thank you for never giving up on me, and for always pushing me to do better. Thank you for still finding time to meet up and do something together in between all of my travel, and for reminding me to take time for myself.

To my team, Lilly, Kaitlynn, Sam, Connor, and Hailey. I never could have known we would come this far, from being 6 strangers stuck in a house together for a week, to standing on stage together one last time as we reflect on our year. Thank you all for your patience and support, your kind words after a hard day, and the good laughs late at night. As we go separate ways, I know we all have a home together, even if we’re miles apart.

Maryland FFA, this year has been far more than I have ever imagined it could have been. I have been pushed out of my comfort zone countless times, have gone to many places I have never been before, and got the chance to meet so many new people I may have never known, and I thank you for it all. As one door closes, another one opens and I am so excited to see where Maryland FFA goes next!

Love you, mean it

As my year as a state officer wraps up, I find myself in the same spot as last year, preparing myself for State Convention!

This spring has been very busy, from traveling to DC, attending The Great American Agricultural Celebration at the White House, finishing our last Regional Leadership Conference, prepping for state convention wth our media days, and spending so many special moments with my team. 🌷

As the year is quickly winding down, and I look back through all my memories, I am filled so much gratitude for every season I have been through this year. Not every moment has been easy, but I have come such a long way in a year and had so much growth. 🌱

I can’t wait until State Convention to complete this final season with so many amazing people! See you there! 💙💛 by @katlyn_mdffa

I may not be the biggest fan of snow, but this winter sure did have some amazing moments! 🌨️

Seeing over 1,000 Pennsylvania FFA Members receive and put on their jackets at the same time at their Mid Winter Convention, meeting with other Maryland CTSO Officers and advocate for our organizations in Annapolis, and connecting with so many industry professionals at the MANTS Conference and Taste of Maryland event, this season made time for lots of memories.

With FFA Week falling within this season, there were also so many amazing events put on by our chapters all across the state, from fundraisers, to dinners, where so many connections were made! 💙💛

The state officers were busy with chapter visits, but we were also fortunate to host National Southern Region Vice President, T. Wayne Williams for a week for chapter visits and other events!

The cold weather may have had me feeling blue, but the memories made the chill worth it! ⛄️ by @katlyn_mdffa

Arguably one of my favorite seasons, this fall sure was jam packed.

Between hosting workshops for Chapter Officers across the state and members at their own chapters and regions, attending the 98th National FFA Convention, and even wrapping up our team trainings, this season held a lot of growth for me. 🌱

I started a new chapter by facilitating for the first time, ended a chapter by competing in a FFA competition for the last time, and added stories along the way by having important conversations with so many amazing members. 📖

Fall is a season that embodies change, a time where you can reflect on the past, and grow towards your future. Each season can foster something different, new, and exciting, so embrace the season and what it brings, it might just be the thing you need. 🍂 by @katlyn_mdffa

While the summer heat was already intense, things were just heating up for me as the newly elected State Reporter last summer! 🇺🇸

Many firsts happened for me this season, from -advocating for agriculture in our nations capital 🏛️
-attending the Maryland State Fair 🐄🎢
-traveling to Delaware to meet with other State Officers and Horizon Farm Credit 💙💛
-so many more!!!

I got the chance to meet so many amazing state officers from all over the nation, educate the community about all aspects of agriculture, and bond and learn with my team!

As the summer sun was setting and the fall breeze was heading my way, my story as a state officer was just getting started, and the future held so much more for me and my story. 📖 by @katlyn_mdffa
