Today was February 10th, your birthday. I truly can’t believe I’m writing this, and I can’t believe all of the fun times we’ve had together over the past 16 years of my life, from going fishing in Rockport, to fore wheeling at the farm, to enjoying tennis with you, to eating chocolate malt balls from Bucee’s (your favorites),to your annual history quizzes, to listening to the Beatles with you, to singing the Sound of Music with you, to playing balloon volleyball, and playing card games every night after dinner. I am so thankful for you, you were like no other grandpa. You were a funny, caring, loving person, who will always live in my heart. I promise that I will continue your tradition of hilarious home videos and pictures. Love you forever and always. There is nothing I can write to express how much me and so many others loved my grandma and how much love she gave to those around her. Whether we were playing card games, making crafts, sitting around the Christmas tree, watching I love Lucy, or sitting outside while the sun goes down, I loved spending every moment with you. There so many things I could say about her character she always had a smile on her face, she always looked so beautiful and had her makeup done and her nails done (usually in hot pink), she was the kindest woman, but most of all her love for the lord was what I looked up to the most. She was never afraid to let others know about her faith and she is the definition of what it means to be a Christian, I hope one day to be half as good of a person as she was and have the same dedication of faith.
