What Happened To Your Heart
Junior Contemporary
🧠-Me
This piece was a more mature piece I have done so far. It’s about watching someone you love change because of the hurt and damage they’ve experienced—watching life slowly pull at their heartstrings.

*super proud of the kids in this piece. It was not easy. Took us about 7 months to get it where I wanted and about 5 years off my life. We all held our breath every time this took the stage one wrong move and someone was tangled. The track also had no music to count so to be on time the dancers had to “breathe count” which added a whole another level of difficulty. Extremely proud of everyone involved ❤️ by @katpro31

15 years of ProDance! How did we get here already? It truly blows my mind.
While our show is dedicated to our dancers and graduating seniors, I want to take a moment to congratulate Tara and myself. Owning a business is no joke—it’s one of the hardest things we’ve ever done.
Opening this studio at ages 21 and 26, with a 4-year-old and two 2-year-olds, was one of the craziest decisions we’ve ever made. But I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
We started in a tiny one-room studio with just 14 students. Along the way, we raised our babies, survived COVID, faced plenty of negativity from other dance studios, navigated the ever-changing dance world, and worked through countless challenges. Through it all, we kept going—and today, we’re proud to be one of the leading dance studios in South Jersey.
People often ask how we grew the business to where it is today, and my answer is always the same: stay humble. Keep your head down and keep working.
I am incredibly proud of everything we have accomplished, and I know we are only going to continue to grow.
So, congratulations to my big sister, my business partner, and—let’s be honest—the boss of this entire place we all call home.
Cheers to 15 years, and many more to come. 🖤💛

Spent the weekend at the dance Super Bowl! Seeing @ava.carr0ll up on that UDA stage competing at a collegiate level brought tears to my eyes. I am so incredibly proud of how hard you have worked to get to that moment! Congratulations to you and all the teams that competed , it was insane to watch. by @katpro31
