I took a long break from dance to prioritize my stability and mental health after losing both of my parents within a two-year span.

Now, I’m rediscovering what it means to pursue dance in a way that’s sustainable.
I’m finding balance while staying true to who I am.
I’ve made so many valuable connections through dance and i plan on keeping them lol. Stay connected to me while i figure it out lol.

Thinking back to before i stepped foot in the dance studio at QCC i was isolated and broken. Desperately seeking joy and purpose. I can truly say I’ve found that and more. I’ve found my people, my confidence and I’d even go as far as saying @qccdance has brought me a sense of healing.

Shout out to Emily, Nicole, Aviva and Baba for Facilitating an environment that allowed me to relearn how to fly.

Every time i Shrunk back in fear i was affirmed and pushed out of my comfort zone. I was given opportunities to strengthen my leadership skills and stretch my creativity. The very things i was convinced i couldn’t do, i did…

Shout to my friends that continuously hype me up and reciprocated energy when my cup was empty. You guys made me look forward to coming to school even on the days i wanted to give up and drop out.

I’m really emo tonight lol. 🥹💙
I was going to get on my soap box and talk about how the power of art, how it can Evangelize and how it can be just as effective as preaching… but i won’t lol.
But i will say my heart is full.
I down play a lot of the things…i doubt myself a whole lot but this…whew seeing your vision come to life🤯

I wrote down “dance our way back to school supplies giveaway” down at the end of 2018. When the summer rolled around i wasn’t too sure it was going to happen. But thank God for people that believe in my vision more than me sometimes.
