C A B A R E T ❤️
I’m still flying high from our Cabaret concert last week at @herningoperafestival. I just adore this repertoire and it feels so freeing to sing. The concert came together in a month’s time and I’ve never learned so much text so quickly before (hello strophic songs!) but every story just seemed to crawl under my skin immediately.

From cats on the piano, to nonsense tales, a heartbroken muse, a very revengeful pirate, one lonely actress, a dancing dragqueen, questions about why the hell happiness seems to disappear the moment you have it, a trip to Paris and of course an ode to smoking…

Thanks to Laurits, the featherboa’d pianist, for always saying yes to my kitsch props, camp French accent presentations and of course for playing so wonderfully on the keys 🎹

I CANNOT WAIT TO DO THIS CONCERT AGAIN!!

8th wedding anniversary - bronze edition
“Wir sind durch Not und Freude
Gegangen Hand in Hand … “

My first singing teacher always said that Asger was the strongest foundation for having a successful career as an operasinger. “You keep him close!” She said and smiled.
I remember when this photo was taken, he was so scared for me jumping out on the wet stones in high heels, but as always… he held my hand and just went with my idea. Thank you for always jumping with me 🩵

Dreaming about feather boas, pearls and all the text I have to memorise for my upcoming Cabaret recital. I’ll be performing with Laurits Dragsted at @herningoperafestival the 22nd of October at 19:30. As Laurits exclaimed yesterday at our rehearsal: “this music is just TOO DAMN GOOD!” - see you there…

Transformation time! 🐉✨
We were called 4,5h before the show started to meet up with the most amazing team, so we could transform into the world of The Ring Forever Hot!
I was dreading sitting in the chair for so long, but with these lovely people, the hours flew by, much fun was had, stories were told, and coffee was consumed. Everyone was learning from each other, and getting to know all the nerdy things about one another's craft was so inspiring and cool. THANK YOU to everyone involved! by @katrine.deleuran

Week 5!? All of a sudden, we have staged the Ring and are now merging all the pieces. I can’t wait to move into the real performance space next week and feel how all of our routes and scenes will work in the different areas - I’m especially looking forward to driving our pimped RVN golf car 🏎️💨
Oh yeah… RVN stands for Rheinmaiden/Valkyrie/Norn; in our version of the Ring, all the roles have merged into one character that can move between the world of the Gods and Niebelheim. Personally, my RVN loves all the gossip of the family drama, she can see the future and is a real party girl 💍♾️🔥 by @katrine.deleuran

#CopenhagenOperaFestival #NyOpera by @katrine.deleuran

Be humble, sit down 💋🪑

3rd week of rehearsal, halfway through.
Some days, it feels like my brain is barely held together with tape. Every day I speak three languages semi-badly, it took my RVN-sisters (Rheintochter/Valkyrie/Norn) and me hours to get a choreo down for one of our pop songs, and I find myself gossiping about the saga of the Volsungs #familymoments
This week we have our first costume fitting, and my inner teenager is screaming, “OMG that’s so cool!”
