What a wonderful opening of zeitguised at Künstlerforum Bonn last night. Such a beautifully curated exhibition, bringing together eight very different and genuinely strong artistic positions — and somehow making them speak to one another with remarkable ease.

It was a fantastic evening: great work, great conversations, old and new friends, and one of those openings you really don’t want to leave.

Congratulations, dear Cáitlin, on this very special exhibition — and congratulations to all the artists involved. So happy I could be there.

Ausstellungsankündigung: „My Framed New World“ von Florian Albrecht-Schoeck.
Künstlerische Forschung zwischen KI, fotografischer Praxis und gesellschaftlicher Verantwortung. Florian Albrecht-Schoeck beendet bewusst das traditionelle Fotografieren – nicht als Ablehnung des Mediums, sondern als politische und konzeptuelle Entscheidung. Auf Basis seines bestehenden Archivs nutzt er unter anderem Open-Source-KI-Modelle, die er mit eigenem Material trainiert, um Bildgenerierung als reflektierten Prozess zu gestalten.
Seine Arbeit hinterfragt die Bedingungen von Fotografie, Identität und Realität in Zeiten algorithmischer Systeme. Die Ergebnisse bewegen sich zwischen visueller Vertrautheit und Fremdheit (Uncanny Valley), zitieren historische Bildwelten und dekonstruieren ästhetische Codes. Dabei bleibt die Fotografie stets präsent – als Material, Medium und kritische Instanz.

So impressed with the new show curated by @majadanalisewski at @gooooodbank!

„Cosy“ by @cezaryponiatowski transforms old carpets, vents and everyday materials into playful, slightly uncanny sculptures that blur comfort and strangeness. His first exhibition in Frankfurt shows how familiar objects can suddenly feel alive, humorous and a bit unsettling at the same time.
