Illustration created for Damas y Dragones, a zine organized by @__hornocreativo . We were given a choice of several tales and a limited color palette to work with. Mine tells the story of a princess who, trapped by loneliness, begs the Moon for help. However, a faerie dragon warps her wish, cursing her to turn into an infinite tower. Esp: Ilustración para el fanzine Damas y Dragones, organizado por Horno Creativo (@__hornocreativo ). Se nos dio a elegir entre varios cuentos y una paleta de color reducida. La mía narra la historia de una princesa que, atrapada por la soledad, pide ayuda a la Luna. Sin embargo, un dragón feérico retuerce su deseo y la condena a convertirse en una torre infinita. Tithe of the Dead The victims reclaim what the grave robbers sought to profane. Justice is absolute, only a soul can settle the debt of such sacred audacity. I started this piece back in December. I put way more planning into it than usual, spending a ton of time gathering references and playing with compositions before diving into the actual painting. It saved me a million headaches. I was coming off a few really frustrating pieces that I ended up scrapping because I just ran with the first thing that popped into my head. Esp: Diezmo de los muertos Las víctimas reclaman lo que los ladrones de tumbas pretendían profanar. La justicia es absoluta, solo un alma saldará la osadía a lo sagrado. Empecé esta pieza en diciembre. La planeé más de lo habitual, dedicando mucho tiempo a recopilar referencias y probar composiciones antes de meterme de lleno a pintar. Me ahorré mil y un rompecabezas. Venía de un par de dibujos muy frustrantes, desechados por haber continuado con lo primero que se me venía a la cabeza. by @katsuvy

Jack Frost to kick off the new year on the right foot. I hope 2026 is kind to all of you!!! :) My mum always asks me to do a quick drawing to wish everyone happy holidays. They’re usually a bit crappy, but this one actually worked out as an experiment. I was trying to achieve a very specific texture I’d been chasing for a while, so I thought I’d share it here. Illustration done in one sitting, I have very little free time, so I try to make the most of it. About 6 hours.
For any fellow nerds like me who might be interested: the rough finish on the edges was done using Procreate’s default brushes “Artistic Wax” + “Extra Soft Pastel,” and then cranking the sharpen adjustment to the max in a few strategic spots. Esp: Jack Frost para empezar con buen pie el año nuevo. ¡¡¡Espero que el 2026 sea amable con todos vosotros!!! :) Mi madre siempre me pide que le haga un dibujo rápido para felicitar las fiestas. Normalmente son un poco cutres, pero este me funcionó como experimento, intentando conseguir una textura muy específica que llevaba tiempo buscando, así que lo comparto por aquí. Ilustración hecha de una sentada, tengo muy poquito tiempo libre, hay que exprimirlo al máximo. 6 horas aprox. Para algún friki como yo que le interese: el acabo grosero en los laterales fue conseguido con las brochas por defecto del Procreate “cera artística”+”pastel extrasuave”, añadiendo luego el ajuste de enfoque al máximo en puntos estratégicos. by @katsuvy

Siren Sing, siren, sing. The deaf sailor is immune to your spell. He did not hear the pleas of the companions you devoured, nor will he enjoy the burst of your pain when his harpoon pierces your chest. Speedpainting is a bit chaotic; the initial palette was too colorful and the hairstyle absurd, but I’m glad I corrected it and persisted. I had been thinking about this idea for a couple of years, but at the time it seemed too complex to carry out. Sirena Canta sirena, canta. El marinero sordo es inmune a tu hechizo. No escuchó la súplica de los compañeros que devoraste, ni gozará el estallido de tu dolor cuando su arpón te rompa el pecho. El speedpainting es un poco caótico, la paleta inicial era demasiado colorida y el peinado absurdo, pero me alegra haber rectificado y persistido. Este pasado fin de semana tuve el placer de poder presentar el que fue mi TFG en el IV Congreso Nacional de Medicina Gráfica @graficamedicina . ¡Cómo me alegra que mi primer congreso y ponencia (¡y la primera vez que fui premiada por algo!) fuese aquí! Hemos conocido gente maravillosa, con ideas super inspiradoras y una pasión por crear y mejorar la sanidad contagiosa. Qué bonito que existan profesionales así, es imposible no guardar una visión optimista de nuestro futuro. Muchas gracias a todos los que me habéis escuchado o acercado a conversar. Me he sentido muy cómoda y salido con el corazón bien calentito. Estoy muy contenta por la acogida que está teniendo nuestro proyecto. Esperamos, cuando esté algo más liberada del estudio del examen MIR, darle caña a la difusión de los cómics y la búsqueda de financiación para su impresión, así como al seguimiento y mejora del mismo. Gracias de nuevo a @lopezmatopablo hacerlo posible y a Paula por acompañarme en la aventura. 🙂‍↕️🩷 Nos ha ayudado mucha más gente, pero desde aquí mil gracias a mis tutores y al equipo de Endocrino y Endocrino Pediátrica del CHUO por su generosidad y tiempo. by @katsuvy

Design for a future handmade doll I’d love to make when I finally have some free time (which definitely won’t be before February :(( ).
For the illustration, I focused on keeping soft, delicate values in the lighter areas to balance out the intense textures in the background. The idea for the composition hit me while I was studying, almost like a divine vision, and I quickly scribbled it down in my notes. It didn’t let me rest until I brought it to life. In other news, I graduated from med school a few weeks ago and it still feels unreal… I’ll probably share some bits from my Bachelor’s Thesis another time; it was, of course, something directly related to drawing :)) Esp: Diseño para un futuro muñeco artesanal que me gustaría elaborar cuando tenga tiempo libre (hasta febrero ni de coña, vamos). En la ilustración me centré en mantener unos valores suaves y delicados en las zonas más claras para mantener cierto equilibrio con las texturas intensas del fondo. La idea de la composición me vino mientras estudiaba, casi como una visión divina, y la apunté rápidamente entre mis notas. Hasta que no la materialicé no me dejó tranquila. En otra serie de nuevas, hace unas semanas me gradué de medicina y todavía no me lo creo… ya publicaré en otra ocasión retazos de mi TFG que consistió, cómo no, en algo en relación directa con el dibujo :)). English translation below. Una vez más nos hemos juntado @limbo.illustration y yo como goblins co-editoras (@dosgoblins )para organizar a la gente más talentosa y generosa del mundo, creando un proyecto muy chulo en comunidad. En esta ocasión quise arriesgarme a hacer algo con lineart porque le venía de perlas a la temática, y fue menos traumático de lo que estimaba. La escena está protagonizada por un diverso elenco de groupies entre los que colé a la buena de mi socia. Y cómo no, un ogro… cualquier excusa es buena para dibujar un ogro. En los marcos aparecen refes a los escudos heráldicos que construyeron los participantes jeje. Además de la portada diseñé un personaje, pero ya veréis más de él en otra ocasión. Estamos de preventa hasta el 20 de este mes :)). ¡17 euritos por un libro de alrededor de 100 págs a tapa dura! ¡Desliza para ver parte del proceso y todos los detallitos! Letras del texto por @limbo.illustration Eng: Once again, @limbo.illustration and I got together to organize a new zine, featuring the most talented and generous people in the world, creating a really cool project as a community. This time, I wanted to take a risk and do something with lineart because it perfectly suited the theme, and it was less traumatic than I expected. The scene features a diverse cast of groupies, among whom I snuck Meri. And of course, an ogre... any excuse is good for drawing an ogre. The borders include references to the heraldic shields created by the participants, hehe. Besides the cover, I designed a character, but you’ll see more of him another time. The zine is entirely in Spanish, but it’s still worth checking out our artists (slides 4-5). by @katsuvy
