I am so grateful @virtuahealth for welcoming my girl with congratulatory words instead of condolences. I see some parents get “I’m sorry but your baby has Down syndrome” and I just don’t get it. I knew the second I saw my baby girl how lucky I am to have been chosen to be her mommy. I always wanted to have a daughter and I just so happened to get the most special girl. 💙💛

Tonight is the last night. I say good night to my boys as a Mommy of two. It’s bittersweet for sure. Lukas and Charlie have given me 6+ years of learning the ropes of motherhood and I’m so very grateful for all of their lessons. I know when I come home from having the twins they are going to be so much bigger and I’m not prepared for that one. Next stop, mom of 4!

Wow wow wow what a journey this pregnancy was. So many surprises from the very beginning. First surprise was the obvious twin part and the big second surprise was a positive NIPT trisomy 21 screening for one of the twins. The little surprises along the way kept me on my toes in the calmest way. It was definitely a blessing. I knew no matter what, these babies were going to be so loved and so special.

What I didn’t expect was the overwhelming amount of love I would immediately drown in by these babies. Our baby girl gave us a spot in the “lucky few” 💙💛 club and I couldn’t be more grateful. They are perfect in every way.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out. We feel the love and support.

The small, simple moments sometimes go unnoticed with my busy life. It’s not that I don’t feel lucky all the time…I just get some reminders to soak it in while it’s here. See you laters an are hard. Having my family fly out from out of state filled my heart. I know being a SAHM is a busy life but I think I realized just how much do while they were here. I had a HUGE weight lifted off me while they were here. They helped clean, cook, decorate for my babies birthday party, laundry, helped with the kids…I guess I’m so caught up in the hustle and bustle that the tasks all blend together. The short relief was needed and I’m so appreciative of all the love and support we had last weekend. I miss and love you all so much. To my spooky little one-year-olds,

You have filled our lives with so much love and joy. You sped things up but slowed it all down at the same time. You gave a whole new meaning to a full house, but fuller hearts. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would be a mom to two beautiful twin babies. But here I am and I am so damn grateful that God chose me to walk you through this journey on Earth.

Thank you to my family for flying out to celebrate! And an even bigger thank you for helping me in tremendous ways. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
