Hi guys 👋 Thought I better post to let you know I'm still alive, yikes! I've been busy being human, dealing with some pretty big life changes. Circumstances haven't left a lot in the tank tbh! 🥴
.
Seeing that it's also #mentalhealthawarenessweek, I thought I'd get a bit more personal than usual. I've always been a 'coper', desperate to appear strong, pushing people away, reluctant to reach out. Life can get heavy sometimes. Please don't suffer in silence. Please reach out. Struggling with your #mentalhealth doesn't make you weak. Anyone worth a damn won't judge you for it! 💚
.
Anyhoo, I'm slowly 🐌 taking time to process and get back on form (even if that form resembles a washed up jellyfish 🫠). SO thankful for the art and all the amazing people I've met through it! 🙏 You keep me sane and remind me that creativity is a superpower 🦸‍♀️ Now more than ever, we gotta be kind, empathetic, caring... Let's fill the world with artists! 💪🎨🫶
.
Maybe you fancy hearing about upcoming events (or just want to reach out), DM or email: katwardartist@gmail.com and I'll pop you on my mailing list 🥰

Exciting collab incoming! 💥🎉 Join Collage Club and local textile artist @sarahappletontextiles for a fun and relaxed Still Life Textile Collage workshop at @redhousemuseum 🪡
.
Using an inspiring mix of upcycled fabric scraps, threads, and tactile materials, participants can learn simple techniques to layer, stitch, and build expressive textile art. With plenty of guidance for your project, everyone will leave with a unique piece of art and a renewed joy for making by hand, plus the skills to keep creating at home.
.
Materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring an image to work from if you prefer.
.
No experience needed; just bring your curiosity and get ready for a fun, hands‑on session that leaves you buzzing with ideas and proud of what you’ve made.

Had a blast making collage mandalas with @anniejbrown 🤩 LOVE this prompt! So, so relaxing to play with these circles, filling them with lots of lovely, repetitive colour and texture... Obviously rubbed off on doggo too as she dozed the whole time! 😴
.
Come make mandalas with us on Sun 12th April at our Collage Club! 🎟 via Eventbrite. The link is 👆 in bio!
