POSTS STORIES REELS

Like an artist's sketch — raw, emotional, human. Obscured yet palpable. Partially seen. Entirely felt. The photograph only reveals what it dares. For women, that’s nothing new — we’ve always been partially seen, half-understood. The rest — our depth, our defiance — lives off-frame.
Partiellement vue, mais entièrement sentie.

$Partially Seen- What’s visible is only a fraction of the story. A piece from my fine art series. “Partially Seen, is a visual exploration of the tension between presence and absence, visibility and obscurity. This series examines the ways in which identity, voice, and existence are often fragmented—whether by society, personal circumstance, or self-imposed boundaries. Through compositions that obscure, crop, or distort the subject, I seek to capture the feeling of being acknowledged but not fully understood, of speaking but not truly being heard. These images reflect the experience of navigating spaces where one’s presence is conditional, fleeting, or overlooked. By inviting the viewer to engage with what is missing as much as what is shown, this work questions: What parts of ourselves do we reveal, and what remains hidden? What happens when we are only partially seen? #fineartphotography #swimmingpool #femaleartist by @katwesterman$
