POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
It’s a whole new year (!) so I’ll just leave this here & remind you that I have an ecosystem of free & low-cost resources for actors if you’re looking to make the most of the fresh start energy of this month🪴(Or hibernate and circle back in the spring, when we’re more biologically incentivized to bloom. I don’t judge.)

Believe it or not, you can kick ass and take names without burnout, toxic positivity, or spiritual bypassing!! You don’t *need* any of these resources to succeed, but they’re here to support you if and when you’d like to give them a spin. You’re growing every day just by showing up, and I’d love to be your cheerleader from my colorful corner of this hellscape internet 🥰

This January, remember that anyone trying to make you feel bad about who/where you are in your life and career in this moment is a bitter hag or trying to sell you something (or both)!

✨JUICY DEETS + LOGISTICS✨ ⬇️

The first Side Quest of 2026 will be next week & I’ll announce date and time on my broadcast channel here on IG (once I figure out how to use it lol) and likely on Stories as well. Hope to see some friendly faces there to cross-pollinate on our big creative projects for 2026.

(P.S. the discount code “2026” on Audition With Intention only runs thru Jan. 15th so if you’re curious about a flexible audition tracking system that won’t take you a whole weekend to set up, hop to it sooner rather than later, xoxo Gossip Girl)

She’s here and she’s QUEER 🥰🏳️‍🌈

Feeling sad about pride month being over? I’ve got some good news: Pride is 24/7 imo, AND Proud to Present Magazine, my baby (only 30 days gestation but 50+ hours of labor 😅), is live!!! So you can read about some amazing LGBTQIA+ people doing awesome shit in the theatre industry! 100% of profits will be donated in equal amount to Transgender Law Center (@translawcenter) and Point of Pride (@pointofprideorg) — even if you don’t buy a zine, check out the awesome work they’re doing!

This project became a massive part of my Pride month and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. The generosity of my contributors and the community as a whole — everyone I reached out to was incredibly gracious. I learned very quickly that 1) Show people are the best and 2) People WANT to say yes. We innately want to help (especially when it’s for a good cause).

Huge thanks to @nasirpan for making this look BEAUTIFUL, like??? 😍 And to @sylviablaisetaylor for wrangling my ADHD brain and making sure I replied to important emails.

Plz share so we can raise as much $$ for these orgs as possible and spread the love for what these spectacular featured artists are doing! 💌

Go to “Links 💞” in my bio & top two are 🔗s to purchase digitally ($5) or pre-order your hard copy. I can’t wait for you to read :) by @katwolffcreates

✋pause your doom scroll & read an essay! ⏯️
about the complex and nuanced relationship between the fantasy and the reality of Broadway!
there’s a literacy crisis — flex that attention span!
listen to me fangirl about Jasmine Amy Rogers, Joy Woods, Sutton & Bernadette, & sweet talented ray of sunshine soon-to-be-bubble-girl @emmaflynnstagram 💞

this convo is very nuanced and this isn’t even the full essay (if you wanna read you can check it out you-know-where) but my goal with Unpacking is to actually *unpack* the hot-button issues the industry would rather we didn’t discuss. (there’s an Unpacking issue re: understudy work, too.)

P.S. these are reheated nachos because I was sick last week and didn’t write. New essay re: pursuing excellence in public coming soon, + my weekly Sunday newsletter (Joie de Vivre) full of random inspiration & creative practices ✨💝💐 taken in New York City by @katwolffcreates

Sharing a sappy Substack essay on main is maybe the most in-the-spirit-of-2016 thing I could do, tbh!!

I had been trying to find the right way to articulate the “ambition-acceptance paradox” I always feel in January, and the cultural obsession with 2016 nostalgia recently added some spice to the convo.

First time letting my words live here on the grid, but feeling inspired by @whoismattrodin sharing his Substack, The Fourth Wall, here on IG — which you should subscribe to, btw! Be gentle with me, lol. And forgive me the most obnoxious theatre-kid title imaginable. Link you-know-where for this piece & more!

2025, you were a year of unexpected opportunities and abundance, and I’m not taking any of it for granted. I feel like I lived 5 lives crammed into one year, but also learned that I’m capable of handling so much more than I thought — and a full life is worth pursuing, even when the stress creeps in.

It was a year full of:
- an actually insane # of DIYs and interior design/home improvement. I was in my HGTV era in 2025 💅
- awkward fit checks🧍‍♀️
- D&D and many more TTRPGs
- working on three unforgettable productions with the best humans
- a mother-daughter Disney trip that has me teetering on the ledge of embracing the term “Disney adult”
- a full length non-profit magazine that came to fruition in 30 days through my sheer will + the unbelievable generosity of others
- lots of time with my family in CT (and our newest addition to the Wolff pack, Pepper!)
- lots of time spent exploring the city on solo dates
- seeing so many friends’ shows and work — amazing to see fellow artists doing their thing 🥹
- still doing headshot MUA gigs on the rare occasions I was in the city for a spell
- hours combing Spotify, YouTube, and my mind palace (lol) finding new rep for my fellow actors
- joyous time with friends new & old (that I’m always forgetting to capture in photos)
- more conversations with strangers! (the cherry blossom pic was taken by a very kind stranger who saw me walking past and said “oh you need a photo with those flowers”) 🌸
- lots of examining my relationship to social media (still working on that one)
- writing ✍️ (even if it’s into the void)
- reading 📚 (less than last year because of all of the above^, but 31 books ain’t too shabby)
- figuring out the routines that serve me best (and what I can release)
- and, perhaps most importantly, Baked Cheetos 🧀

Here’s to everyone who made 2025 so damn special (if you’re reading this far that probably means YOU) and keeping the party going and making 2026 even bolder & braver 🥳🥂 by @katwolffcreates

Wow wow wow. I’m a very wordy gal, but something about this show felt indescribable. A “you had to be there” kind of connection between cast, crew, and audience. Oh man, we had the best audiences 🥹

Grateful as ever to Cara, Pete, Christine, Ben, and every single generous artist who put their loving hands on this piece and left their mark. Thank you for including me in the best squad of switchboard soldiers I could’ve imagined!

This cast!!! We could roll with a bit as quickly and seamlessly as we could drop into deep conversations about life and art. I feel very “Connected” to these folks 🥰 #seeyoassontheotherside

To tell a story that honors the untold story of an incredibly brave and trailblazing group of women was an honor. Amidst a chaotic news cycle, at this fraught moment in history, it was a blessing to go to work every day to perform material that grapples with what true patriotism means — when I (and so many) am struggling with what it is to be an American and how to “do [my] bit” to keep fighting for progress and real equity.

“Ours is a great and long fight indeed.”

Let’s go answer the call, mmkay?

“Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical” @ Arkansas Rep ☮️

If I am being totally honest (as I do my best to be on this godforsaken app) I have been dragging my feet on a closing post for “Hair” — because that would mean accepting that it’s actually over. But the good news is this show & these people will stay with me for a long time to come (so “over” might be an overstatement).

I came into this show with a lot of BS stories about all the reasons why a golden-age soprano, uptight and anxious type-A gal like me didn’t belong in a show like Hair. I arrived in Little Rock fully prepared to feel like a fish out of water. And while there I *was* asked to trust my instincts and be vulnerable in ways I’d never experienced in a rehearsal room — let alone onstage in front of a paying audience.

But in reality, I stayed afloat, and then I swam with the current at my back. I was embraced by the loving folks you see in these photos (@cogrobs knows how to put together a team!!), and in their accepting presence — and inspired by their own boldness — I was able to rewrite the story I came into this process with and write a beautiful new one every time my Tribe and I performed this transformative show.

I’m leaving Little Rock and moving onto the next adventure with immense gratitude, feeling more grounded and capable than ever, and embracing my crunchy-granola hippie side (which was actually in there all along).

As much as I love a classic photo dump, I wanted to recall Hair with the spirit in which we made the show: devised and experimental, with scrappy heartfelt pieces coming together to make a more interesting whole. So enjoy my silly scrapbook and I’ll stop being sappy (for now) ✌️☮️
