An open letter to Katy and her team.

Katy, every time you speak from that open, honest place - it cracks something open in us too. You remind us it’s okay to fall apart, to come undone, and to rebuild with softness.

Some voices change the world but no voice carries alone. So to Katy’s team - thank you.

Thank you for walking beside each other. For guiding this journey with so much love and intention. You help make sure the message reaches us - not watered down, not filtered, but as real and raw and radiant as it lives inside her. This gratitude extends to every one of you: from those working backstage at concerts to those filling paperwork… You remind us that artistry isn’t just in the spotlight. It’s in the care behind the scenes. The choices. The tone. The intention.

So thank you. For guiding, for caring, for putting your heart into it. You are as much a part of this journey as anyone else and we are grateful for the depth, the humanity, and the love that you pour into it every single day.

This is soul work. And we are here for it.

For this life and every lifetime after.

Released on August 28, 2020, just two days after the birth of her daughter Daisy Dove, the album arrived during a transformative period in Perry’s life and amid the uncertainty of the pandemic. Its themes of resilience, optimism and new beginnings reflected her journey toward rediscovering joy and finding reasons to smile.

16 years ago today, Katy Perry released “Teenage Dream”, an album that would go on to become one of the biggest pop eras of all time. 🍭💿

The album earned five #1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 with “California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream,” “Firework,” “E.T.” and “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).” The achievement made Katy the first female artist to score five #1 hits from the same album, tying the record Michael Jackson set with “Bad” in 1987. “The One That Got Away” followed as another major hit, peaking at #3.

16 years later, the numbers are just as impressive. “Teenage Dream” has sold more than 12 million pure copies worldwide and surpassed 30 million equivalent units. Its songs have also generated over 30 billion streams and views across platforms.

One of the most successful and recognizable pop albums of its generation. 🩷 by @katyactivity

Could Katy Perry be the next global superstar to take over Copacabana?

The singer is rumored to be in talks to headline Todo Mundo no Rio 2027, continuing the tradition of massive free concerts on Rio’s iconic beach.

The speculation gained even more attention after the city teased that the 2027 edition will have “fireworks”, a detail that didn’t go unnoticed by the Brazilian KatyCats.

If confirmed, Katy would follow Madonna, Lady Gaga and Shakira, who have each performed in front of millions at Copacabana.

Nothing is official just yet, but the possibility of Firework, Teenage Dream and Roar echoing across Copacabana already has us thinking about what that night could look like.

How many people could Katy bring to the beach? And which songs would be a must on the setlist?
