WOW. Just a few of the delicious meals made by the one and only @katyazwanderlust. Thank you for bringing so much heart, love, and ease into the kitchen. You made the May retreat unforgettable for every guest. Each meal was so intentional and tasty that we barely captured any of them 🤤. A Venetian fantasy comes to life - playing dress up with one of the top costume designers in Venice ✨- and these photos by @pixaroundyou capture the magic so beautifully! A highlight of our recent Italy FAM in Venice was stepping into the extraordinary world of Atelier Antonia Sautter @antoniasautter - organized by @violinodorovenezia and @italywithclass_ - meeting the owner and being styled and dressed by her team who create these exceptional outfits suitable for the Venetian Carnivale, the Doges Ball @ilballodeldoge and all other spectacular occasions you can imagine. The Venetian Carnivale’s spirit is to celebrate life during the darkest time of the year - to be joyful and free and it was so much fun to be able to play dress-up with Antonia Sautter herself. A peak experience! Each piece of clothing, headpiece or accessory - is a masterpiece of creativity and craftsmanship and all of it has been meticulously and lovingly preserved for the most special occasions. The ingredients of an excellent cooking class are: the setting, the chef, the energy, and finally - the food. On our recent FAM in Florence our DMC Italy With Class @italywithclass_ organized an exceptional experience with chef Ilaria @ilariaricci_florence - that had it all! To start we visited the market for what is in season - we decided on the menu, got the ingredients, and walked to the chef’s incredible home to cook and enjoy the meal. Italia, it’s a wrap 🇮🇹We completed our WanderLuxe Italy FAM in Florence with two iconic favorite stays: Grand Hotel Minerva and Hotel Brunelleschi - each distinct in style and personality, yet united by exceptional service, unbeatable locations, and unforgettable views.Several of us stayed at Hotel Brunelleschi- just steps from the Duomo, but tucked away from crowds. The property is steeped in history built within the 6th-century Pagliazza Tower. With views over the city and the Duomo, a private archaeological museum underneath the tower with remains of Roman baths - the Brunelleschi is steeped in history, large rooms and suites and luxurious amenities. We enjoyed dinner at the reimagined Osteria and cocktails at the Brunelleschi Tower Bar - perfect! Grand Hotel Minerva - is a modern classic. Some of us stayed here with everything in Florence easily within reach. Set on Piazza Santa Maria Novella, this design-forward hotel reflects the legacy of Carlo Scarpa. It is a site for pilgrimage for architecture and design fans. Its rooftop, with pool and panoramic views - is one of Florence’s best. We gathered here for sunset cocktails before a beautiful closing dinner.Florence highlights:• Private cooking class with Chef Ilaria—market to table, seasonal and unforgettable. After leaving Venice early, our WanderLuxe FAM arrived in Forte dei Marmi just in time for lunch.Forte isn’t discovered so much as it’s known - passed down through generations who return for the joyful and simple rituals of an Italian summer. And once you know Forte, you know.Set between the Apuan Alps (where Michelangelo sourced Carrara marble for the David) and the sea, it’s effortless summer living: the sea, beach clubs, bikes, markets, and long, lingering meals.Our stay centered around Pensione America, the beautiful seaside retreat reimagined by the Maestrelli family of Collezione Em as a gorgeously meticulous 100% Italian artisanal project.With just 17 rooms, it feels intimate, refined, and deeply personal - more like a private summer home that you never want to leave.Lush gardens, a green tiled pool, private beach club, and that rare kind of service - warm, intuitive, never intrusive. Our WanderLuxe Destinations Collezione Em Italy FAM began at Violino d’Oro in Venice.From the moment we entered @violinodorovenezia - the experience felt less like a hotel and more like a well-traveled friend opened their gorgeous Venetian home to us. The lobby is the living room. It inspired us to lounge and linger. Every detail everywhere felt intentional and had a story to tell: from the subtle scent of lavender and Ortigia bath products to the layered textures, art, and materials. Each sensory touchpoint was well considered. We felt a commitment to easy luxury: Violino is just steps from the energy of San Marco, yet inside, it is an oasis. With only 32 rooms and a restaurant of just nine tables, the focus is not on scale, but on the quality of experience - thoughtful and individual. What sets it apart further is the service: warm, intuitive, and consistently going above and beyond - with genuine care and GM Annabella Cariello @annabeau at the helm. We began our stay with a cocktail class with Mauro - learning the signature Intrigada cocktail, refining the Venetian spritz, as well as gaining insight into the city’s aperitivo culture. That evening, an exceptional seafood dinner at Il Piccolo was made more meaningful in the company of Sara Maestrelli @saramaestrelli - owner of Collezione Em.Our evening gondola ride was atmospheric and unmistakably Venice. The following day, @italywithclass_ took us on a Secrets of Venice tour. Our guide Mateo, led us deeper into the city’s layers. The day continued with a bucket list experience at the @antoniasautter Carnival Masterpiece experience. Wearing the Il Ballo del Doge costumes, we stepped into a world of extraordinary craftsmanship and centuries-old tradition - an invitation to play, to imagine, and to inhabit Venice in a different way. The @pixaroundyou photoshoot captured these Carnival looks, followed by a stop at Caffè Florian - the oldest café in the world, where Vivaldi enjoyed his libations.
