Two months ago, I became Mrs. Kathy Fonseca Cherney in the best way possible: the fastest, most unplanned wedding in downtown Manhattan. 🤍

Tim didn’t want to wait any longer and wanted to do it in his hometown. I, a proud fake New Yorker by choice, thought, Why not? We pulled off an intimate dinner with our closest friends and family(shoutout to my Chilean family who flew in!).

Then I ditched the traditional honeymoon, followed my heart, and headed to Peru for a solo, transformative journey to connect with my roots. Thank you, Tim, for being the most supportive husband a girl could ask for—and for reminding me that getting older means being unapologetically happy and doing what feels right.

Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated one of the most important days in our lives, and to the talented and helpful people who support us in creating this moment.

These last few days have been super life-changing. I showed up in Peru not knowing what to expect and didn’t set any specific goals, I just wanted to enjoy the moment and be present. Once again, I was reminded that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be in life. These last two months have been amazing — I got married to my person and decided to take some time to rediscover myself during this awesome retreat with incredible Maestros and Maestras, the medical team, and some new friends. It opened my eyes to new things and a fresh way of looking at life. Now I can not wait to be back home 🍎 taken in Valle Sagrado de los Incas by @katyfonsecac
