Cake & Sass. A Saturday filled with cakes, fruit trays, and ice pops for @justinchung bday (what an honor for the nicest guy!) Clem also had her first dance recital and she DAZZLED 💕 She continues to wear her costume weekly and I don’t even fight it.

Chocolate cake recipe is @yossyarefi @nytimescooking filled with @ibakemistakes chocolate mousse and topped with market dried calendula, blackberries, & sour cherries

Malted coconut cake inspired by @justine_snacks filled with @tuttifruttifarmsca strawberries @kenstopnotch__chavez “seconds”plum jam and whipped cream then topped with buttercream

Half sheet vanilla chiffon is @ibakemistakes recipe filled with whipped cream, peaches, and roasted strawberries then topped with her buttercream which is my most favorite buttercream recipe

All the gorgeous flowers are from Jen @elysianschoolgarden & that’s who the half sheet cake went to 🌸 by @katypeetz

Preschool Food Week 2025 🫛

My third year of creating a week full of food stuff for the preschoolers and it’s so fun and chaotic. They are WILD. Their little brains soak it all up— it’s amazing how fast they pick up skills and how creative they get 🌸

Day 1 - wash veg & fruit, peel fava beans, blanch and shock snap peas, make yogurt ranch dip (“fingers out of favas!! Iykyk)

Day 2 - cut strawberries & roast w/ honey, make berry puree w/ spinach and beet, drop puree into molds to make gummies

Day 3 - make orange juice, make creamsicle popsicles with said oj + coconut cream + honey

Day 4 - eat all the snacks we prepared at Elysian heights garden and pick flowers for cupcakes tomorrow, feed the chickens!!!, dig up bugs and worms TY @friendsofelysianheights and master gardener Jen!!!

Day 5 - puree roasted strawberries, whip cream, fold both together. Decorate chocolate cupcakes with strawberry cream + garden flowers 🏵️ by @katypeetz
