Fizzy punch for the dog days. Milan Nesterac Kiddo Skins. Pinot Gris from the Czech Republic. Tastes like apricot, white cherries and cantaloupe that have been spritzed with gardenia essence and sprinkled with salt. It’s playful and juicy. It’s high summer. It’s the 4th of July. It’s Cancer season. We need water wine. Bright and crispy. Poggio Al Sole Sangiovese Bianco 2024. This white wine is Sangiovese from Tuscany, Italy. Tastes like white peach and honey crisp apples dunked in sea water and a squeeze of pink grapefruit. Feels like taking a pool dip on a 90 degree day. A quenchy deep breath. Bought this bottle a couple weeks ago at @vinewinenyc and sad to say when I went back for more, it was all gone. I’m feeling quite lucky to have snagged a bottle when I did. I’m told you can still get this by the glass at @lilianewyork

Nothing better than sipping rosé while swimming on a hot summer day. Weingut Netzl Rosanna Rosé 2022. This rosé is Zweigelt from Carnuntum, Austria. Tastes like white cherries, white peaches, white strawberries and a hint of delicate pink flower petals. Impossible to capture the actual pink color of this wine. Lovely! Bought this bottle at @bluehillwineshop

There’s just something about rosé right now. It’s all I want to drink. ‘Tis the season, duh. Alessandro Viola Rosé 2022. This pink wine is Nero d’Avola from Sicily. Tastes like strawberries and blood oranges drizzled in honey and sprinkled with sea salt. A real “transport you to a Sicilian beach” kind of wine. So quenchy, so lovely! Bought this bottle at @heritage.wines

Hi! It’s been so long! Let’s talk about my current favorite bev. My drink of summer 2023. The spritz to ruin me for all other spritzes! I call it the Fancy Spritz. One part Faccia Brutto Aperitivo and 2 parts Bisson Marca Trevigiana Glera Frizzante 2021 poured over ice. This Italian sparkling white wine tastes like green apples, lemon and salty sea covered stones. It’s complimented perfectly by the orange peel flavors in the Aperitivo. Bright, crisp and bitter! The most refreshing drink! Bought both of these bottles at @gnarlyvines

Biodynamic beaut! Menat Ji Jian 2019. This rosato is Gaglioppo from Calabria, Italy. Tastes like red plums, raspberries, sea washed stones and a pinch of pepper. Crunchy, juicy, gorgeous. Lucky me, I bought the last bottle at @bluehillwineshop a few months back. What a special wine.

She’s cozy and she’s juicy. Fattoria Mondo Antico Collina del Pernione Sinodo 2018. This red wine is Barbera from Oltrepo Pavese, Italy. Tastes like plums, black cherries, tobacco and a hint of herby pine. Perfect for hibernating! Love this wine. Bought this bottle at @depwines

New year, new wine. Les Tètes Les Parcelles Gamuto 2021. This red wine is a blend from the Loire Valley, France. Tastes like cherries, white pepper and a hint of pine. Delightfully tart like cranberry juice cocktail. Delicious. Bought this bottle at @heritage.wines

It’s suddenly Fall. My, how time flies. The Heaps Good Pinot Noir. This red wine is Pinot Noir from Stajerska, Slovenia. Tastes like sour cherries, ripe strawberries and white pepper. Spicy, earthy, fruity. Just what I want as the weather changes. Perfect. Bought this bottle at @depwines

Juicy! 2018 Cantina Marilina “Cuè” Moscato. This orange wine is Moscato from Sicily, Italy. Tastes like ripe nectarine slices drizzled with honey and sprinkled with flaky salt. Feels like a stony, rocky Italian beach. Andiamo! Bought this bottle at @gnarlyvines

You know what they say. All day! Seehof Pinot Noir Rosé 2021. This rosé wine is Pinot Noir from Rheinhessen, Germany. Tastes like strawberries and Rainier cherries sprinkled with white pepper. So dry, so perfect. Bought this bottle at @bluehillwineshop

Fresh! Crisp! Franc Kačičnik Štilj 2020. This white wine is a blend of Yellow Muscat, Blauer Kolner and Sauvignon Blanc from Štajerska, Slovenia. Beautiful skin contact. Tastes like cantaloupe, white peaches and a hint of celery. Like a gorgeous summer fruit salad! Bought this bottle at the @bluehillwineshop one of my favorite stops while visiting Maine.
