Todays gratitude journal. Since journaling, what I’m grateful for each day, I’ve found my mind steers to the good, what’s working, instead of what’s not. It’s helped me to focus and remain optimistic even when things feel like their turning against me.
Today: I’m grateful for self reflection. It allows me to work in flow with myself, not against. I’m grateful for new beginnings in old places, friendship, and bubble tea 🧋

Home away from home ? It’s strange to think for 4 years my home base has been a box in the midst of a isolated campus in the middle of the desert.

{Instagram post}: enjoying the Sydney sunshine ☀️
.
{reality}: this was probably one of the toughest times in my life. I had just come out of a 2 week quarantine and I had a few days in Sydney before having to go back home to quarantine in Adelaide for another 2 weeks. My sister was in hospital - and I was receiving phone calls every 30 minutes bringing more bad news. I remember looking around at everyone enjoying themselves & feeling very much alone & scared. #vulnerability #mentalhealth #uae #sydney

there are different types of subscription services. what might be a free subscription for you, is a costly fund for someone else. Freedom. Healthcare. Social welfare. Even the colour of your skin.
Privilege is multifaceted and complex. Every persons subscription package is unique and has different rough edges. Intersectionality is real. So keep in mind: Your everyday is another persons greatest struggle. Be kind always and advocate for others. After all, what if your own subscription package ends?

another day passing, another day on pause. It’s strange. 2 weeks of no responsibility, no pressure, no expectation. And yet - I find myself craving movement every time I slow down. I miss knowing how to be alone with myself. Alone and losing time without having to rely on the radio playing, a phone call, or a tv show. Is it even a mental break when I’m “switched” on - connected 24/7 by a screen? Time to set goals & become a conscious consumer - at this point - I never second guess the amount of screen time I engage in. Ive stopped counting how many hours I spend aimlessly scrolling & planning without purpose. A small resolution: become more mindful, write to-do lists again, designate time to action. ✨ taken in Sydney, Australia by @kauthalaa
