We are stuck in a conflict that repeats a predictable cycle of death and destruction for Israelis and Palestinians. If we are going to break free from this repetitive nightmare then we need to shift the perspective from which we analyze the situation. The first step is acknowledging that each side has made moves that contributed to this conflict and each side has suffered dearly. The next step is being able to tell our story to the world in a way they can understand. We must be ready to step into the role of our ancestors now that we have returned to the land. taken in Jerusalem, Israel by @kavanafilms

The Saddest Day For A Jew

“Achdut” is the Hebrew word for “unity” - a feeling that Jews of all backgrounds, styles, and outlooks experienced together at the Kotel during this Tisha b’Av (9th of Av).

It doesn’t matter where you were born, raised, or live. It doesn’t matter how you look, what you like, or believe. Jews are not a combination of different individuals from other nations practicing the same religion. Jews are one Nation - one civilization - one family.

Although Jews have spread to the four corners of the Earth, no Jew can ever fully be detached from the collective they belong to. Jerusalem is not just a capital city of an ancient Hebrew civilization, but the source of the fire that keeps Jews going.

Tisha b’Av marks the date on the Hebrew calendar where both Temples in Jerusalem were destroyed, and where many other tragedies to the Jewish People have occurred. On the date of Tisha b’Av, Jews remember the suffering they’ve endured caused mainly by forgetting that they were all a part of One.

Division within the Nation has always been the variable which has brought the Jewish People down, wile unity has continuously been the successful key which has allowed Jews to overcome every major trauma of their past.

Let’s focus our energies on spreading “ahavat chinam”, unconditional acts of kindness aimed at creating a spark of light wherever you feel it is needed.

People usually buy flowers for birthdays and anniversaries, but Jewish people have somewhat of an obsession with flowers. 💐 Whether they’re young or old, religious or secular, the flower craze is universal in Israel. It’s one of those small cultural details that says something much bigger about the beauty of Jewish life. #flowers taken in Jerusalem, Israel by @kavanafilms

The accusation has completely FLIPPED🔄

Once, Jews were hated for “mixing” with the so-called Aryan race. Today, they’re often hated for not assimilating enough.

Same virus. 🦠 Different mutation. 😷

Watch how antisemitism has transformed over time and why understanding its evolution matters.

When people like @vrilliumlive learn just enough about Judaism to spread false narratives that fuel bigotry and hatred against the Jewish people.

False information travels fast, and anyone with an agenda can use the internet to convince others to believe almost anything.

That’s why it’s so important that we continue to share the truth. Not with outrage, but with facts, honesty, and integrity.

Truth matters. And it’s up to all of us to make sure it isn’t drowned out.

The darker their lies, the easier it becomes for truth to shine. Here’s yet another anti-Jewish conspiracy designed to demonize Jews. The more they make up lies about us, the more we have to actually understand who we are. taken in Jerusalem, Israel by @kavanafilms

Most Christians today are good people. But Christian history also contains many dark chapters where the religion was forced upon entire populations through colonial violence in places like the Congo under King Leopold II, and in Angola and Mozambique under Portuguese rule (among many others).

Unlike Christianity and Islam, Judaism does not pressure or even persuade others to join our ancient Nation. Everyone should be free to pursue spirituality and truth without coercion.
