I’m not sure where to begin with this one because I have a lot to say about this sport. I didn’t think the end would come so fast, but it’s here. The time has came to say goodbye to the most loved sport I have played, last time riding home on the softball bus with my team, taking this jersey off and never wearing it again. All the time I have ever put into this sport was just a game to me, it was just something fun I loved to do. Each year since I was a freshman I played so many sports it was like a countdown for me until the end of the school year cause I was ready for summer. I never thought that my last game would come so fast. I guess time flies when you’re having fun, at least that’s what everyone says. The countdown was fun until I realized I would never be stepping foot onto this high school softball field to play the game I love, or get ready in the locker room with all my friends, make TikTok’s before all the games, make memories with my teammates, cheer as loud as possible for my friends, and drive Coach Otto crazy (only sometimes). It’s crazy to think I’m leaving a team I have played with for years, since we were in coach pitch. I’m gonna miss every last one of them, and I will be back to cheer them on next year just not on the field. This season has came and went, but it was fun while it lasted. Every year the last game we always ride back as a team and party with music, that I thought drove crazy, but little did I know it didn’t. My last memory from this softball season was riding one last time on the bus and coach Otto having us pause the music to tell us to play party in the USA one last time. Thank you to all the underclassmen for making this season fun and leaving the drama out, thank you to the team for making this the most memorable season, thank you Coach Otto for coaching me all these years, and last but not least thank you to all the seniors for being the best group I could ever leave with. There is so much more I could say, but we will stop here. Good luck to all the underclassmen next year. It’s hard to believe this chapter has come to an end. Basketball has given me more than just games and wins. It gave me memories, friendships, lessons, and a place where I grew into who I am today. From early mornings and late nights to the highs and lows that only this sport can bring, every moment meant something. Saying goodbye my senior year is bittersweet, but I’m beyond grateful for the journey. As many times as I said I hated basketball, deep down I really didn’t. From the moments saying I’m not playing next year to always seeing me on the court anyways. Basketball wasn’t just a game, I cared about the people I was with and the memories made with them. #10 signing out by @kay.wilde__

Here it is… The countdown has officially began. Volleyball senior night came and went just like that. One morning I woke up and it was the first day of two a days and then I blinked and I was standing in front of a crowd with my parents on each side of me and my best friend reading a senior speech. That was the last time playing with these girls, touching a high school volleyball court, having a volleyball warm-up, breaking out, cheering for this team, and riding on the bus to and from the games with this team. Time fly’s faster than you think, the next season is already here. I am so grateful for being able to play my last year with this group of girls. Throughout these past four years we have grown so much, made so many memories, and I have learned many lessons. It still doesn’t feel real that this chapter is over.
