Happy Veterans Day to all those who serve(d) from @kay_kustom132, @fxdlsbrooklyn and myself.
The 3 of us have a deep relationship with the military: @kay_kustom132 has been serving in the Army for 10 years and has 2 combat deployments under her belt. @fxdlsbrooklyn grandfather served as a gunner in the Navy during WW2. You can see on slide 7 the hat he wore all the time and the flag the Navy gave to his family when he passed away in 2011. His other grand father fought in the Pacific theater, and before him his great grand father served in WW1.
As for myself, my whole family has a military history. You will find the name of my relative in a church near Orleans in France amongst other soldiers who fell during WW1. My grand father served during the « drôle de guerre » and ended up living through the hell that was Dunkerque, you can see him on slide 6. My uncle, my father, my cousin all are career officers in the French Army or Air Force.
That is to say, the 3 of us do not take this day lightly. Thank you all for your service.

Honoring all who have served this Veterans Day. Grateful for my brothers and sisters in arms — 10 years strong and two combat deployments later, I’m proud to have stood beside some of the best. Thank you to everyone I’ve served with for your sacrifice, courage, and friendship by @kay_kustom132
