"Why Vietnam?"
Vietnam, because as a child, it seemed so far away in the stories my godfather would share. At 50, nothing is far away. Not a place, or a goal, everything is attainable! I wanted to touch that land in my godfather's memory. This trip was for all of the Black fathers, uncles, brothers, that didn't have a choice in going. For the ones that didn't return and for the ones that returned but didn't fully come back. This trip was for Ali taking a stand. But it was also for the fresh fruit every morning and walks on the beach to start the day. It was for Soulie bonding, exploration, bomb ass massages and body scrubs, and of course the freshest of fresh seafood. Why not Vietnam? Happy Birthday to me! Birthday trip delayed not deferred! I will be 50 all year, so mind your business when I say I'm on another Birthday trip 🤷🏾‍♀️ Thank you God! Judge me by the view.... by @kay_shani

Tuesday September 8th, Boat day....first of all the boat sat 20+ people, so we had to buy the boat out cause we wanted to be alone. We haven't planned anything, including this, it shows lol. I wanted to add music but yall would miss my commentary. Enjoy!

Today the youngins did their thing! Acorn day didn't exist when I was growing up, but for the last 6 years its been consistent.
We always be like, "who kids is this?" When they robbing and killing. Well who's kids are these that are uplifting our community. Today, afterschool, these young Acorn generals, my son included, did their big one! FREE food, haircuts, backpacks, jumpers, bull ride, petting zoo, bar for the adults, music and they brought out Nitro dunkers, who dunk for the NBA, WNBA and the Olympics. We have to pass the torch and support! @jiggajuice10 I am so proud of you.

24 hours in LA!
Saturday - My cousin @reallyst8 invited me to an event for my birthday. She said, "it's in a secret location that we don't find out until the day of. You have to wear all white, like everything, with the exception of a gold or silver accent. It's in Beverly Hills." "I say what in the Diddy are you inviting me to?"
Of course I went lol! @dinerenblanc.losangeles did not disappoint! Great time with my sister cousins!

Sunday was a surprise brunch for my other sister cousin @ncavilw for her 55th birthday! LeoSzn!
Headed home feeling full of love ❤️

My babies left today 😢 The best birthday gift ever was @bobbi_baby leaving my granddaughter with me for a mini summer vacation. Kali Joy is everything her middle name means! Cherry on the top was all 3 of my children together under one roof which is rare, for my party, and never before with Kali. Thank you God! by @kay_shani

My Kali Joy has given me the best two years of my life. Being her Umi is my greatest blessing. I can't believe 2 years have flown by so fast. @bobbi_baby I am so proud of the mommy you are. Happy Birthday granddaughter!!
We brought Texas to West Oakland, and the family knew the assignment! This ain't her 1st rodeo, it's her 2nd!! by @kay_shani
