Your support, your loyalty, and the fact that you continue to choose us year after year is something we will never take for granted. For 20 years, we’ve had the privilege of being a part of this incredible community, and these awards are a beautiful reminder of how lucky we are to call Savannah home.

We don’t always eat healthy (and rarely do we eat V/VG)… but Kayak Kafé is proof that “healthy” can also be delicious. We hit the downtown SAV location and this menu is deep.

The Vegan Walnut “Chorizo” tacos were the standout - pretty mind-blowing whether you’re plant-based or not. Walnuts that actually taste like spicy sausage was not on our radar 🤯. The Jerk Chicken Sandwich and Tuna Melt were both fire, and the hand pressed green juice was the perfect reset. Not to mention the constant brain freeze from the fresh fruit smoothies we drank too quickly.

This is the move for creative food with serious flavor with both downtown and midtown locations (the Broughton Street patio is amazing people-watching). Still a ton on the menu we need to get back for!

Healthy eats in Savannah, Georgia! I am so excited about this series as I try to find healthy + flavorful options at restaurants we all love downtown! 🥗✨

+ The smoked steak caesar salad at @oak36sav is amazing - you also have the option to add shrimp and chicken to it! And their harvest bowl is so sos good!
+ We order the chicken lettuce wraps and chicken claypot at the @thevaultkitchen every time we eat there - both shareable menu options!
+ @kayakkafe has some of the best salads in the city - their Mexican Chicken salad is my go to and their buffalo cauliflower bites are a great vegan option. They also have a chocolate peanut butter smoothie that is FIRE.
+ The smoothies at @firestreetfoodsavannah are perfect when you’re on the go! They also have salads, sushi and street food options!
+ @javaburritocompany has amazing salads, bowls and taco options! Their bowls are also easily shareable and their coffees are 10/10!

The @forsythfarmersmarket Farm Picnic has a new name and a new home. 🍂

Forsyth Farmers’ Market is moving its Fall Harvest Picnic to Daffin Park this year — Sunday, Oct. 11, 3 to 5:30 p.m., under the live oaks at the center of the park.

Bring a blanket or a lawn chair. They’re handling the rest: locally sourced burgers, hot dogs, sides and desserts, with vegetarian and vegan options too. Skip Jennings and The Fractions are playing all afternoon, and the Savannah Jaycees have pumpkin painting and crafts for the kids.

Every dollar goes back into FFM’s year-round programs — things like 912 Food Farmacy and doubling SNAP/EBT benefits at the Saturday market. That’s real food access work happening right here in Savannah.
