SKEPTIC TANK
Jungletrain

Kaya Nya is a vinyl selector and 1/2 of junglist father-daughter duo „Bassline Bloodline“. She is also part of the team behind „We Need Jungle“, an event series in southern Germany dedicated to jungle and UK bass music. With her father having his own soundsystem and being in the scene since the 90s, she grew up surrounded by reggae and dub culture from an early age. Her love for soundsystem culture has always remained strong, leading her to resonate with its influence in jungle music.Today, she plays a wide range of 90s jungle, ragga jungle, modern UK breakbeat as well as dub and reggae - a fusion of heritage, passion and love for breaks

it‘s been a minute since playing on the @ganjariddimsound system… but this saturday it‘ll happen in berlin! first time the father & I will be playing as @basslinebloodline on the system from 3:30-4:30am; strictly jungle, ragga jungle & uk bb! 💚 sooo come by for a mini festival starting at 6pm with soundsystem workshops by the crew and homemade indian food by host @pfaublau_berlin. also kid & dog friendly.
as the night goes on, the (dub) tunes will get heavier… until we close in on a proper jungle vinyl selection. this one’s gonna be massive - just like the venue Mahalla 🙂‍↔️❤️‍🔥

big up everyone involved - dub&dal let‘s go!! by @kayanoe

Now in the archives:
RootsWorldwide Radio #015 (ft. Kaya Nya)

For episode #15 of RootsWorldwide Radio, I had the joy of sharing the decks with Kaya Nya.

She brought us an eclectic selection of Reggae, Dancehall and Jungle tunes, lighting the studio on fire as we expected her to.
Kaya is part of the Daughter/Father project Bassline Bloodline and represents the oh-so-welcome uprise in Bass and Jungle music in Berlin city.
Thanks for the selection, Kaya ❤️‍🔥
