I’ve wanted to go on a missions trip for as long as I can remember. So when I heard we were going on a missions trip this year, I was so excited. But when I was told that we were going to Miami, and I was really disappointed. I was expecting to be overseas, building churches and helping out at orphanages. I couldn’t imagine what we’d do in Miami, but going on this trip made me realize that America needs Jesus just as much as the rest of the world.

Last month in Miami we did landscaping, evangelism, a food drive, lots of praying, and so much more. It was the first time I had ever led a devotional, and the first time I had ever spread the Gospel. The whole trip was one of the most amazing experiences and I loved being used as Jesus’ hands and feet.

During the missions trip, the Lord taught me so much. I learned how to show the same love, patience, mercy, and kindness that Jesus shows me day in and day out. Jesus’s love for us is so infinite and incredible, and I pray that everyone gets to know his grace and what he’s done for everyone.

The Gospel is this: Jesus died for me.
