Sometimes, not being married or having children weighs heavier on me than I care to admit…

And in those moments, I find myself asking God some difficult questions.

Did I miss God somewhere along the way?

Did I miss an opportunity or make a wrong turn?

Will I still fulfill everything God has called me to do?

Will I ever experience what it feels like to be chosen, pursued, and loved by a man who desires to spend his life with me?

Will I ever know what it’s like to be a mother? To nurture, raise, and be needed by children of my own?

Am I enough… just as I am?

And sometimes, the hardest question of all…

Is this some kind of punishment for something I did wrong?

I know these questions may sound silly to some, but they’re real. And I don’t think we talk enough about the quiet grief that can come with longing for a life you haven’t experienced yet.

But even in those moments of uncertainty, I’m reminded of something:

God is still in control.

My life isn’t behind schedule just because it looks different from someone else’s.

My purpose isn’t on pause because I’m not someone’s wife or mother.

And my worth isn’t measured by whether or not I ever become either of those things.

If marriage and motherhood are part of God’s plan for my life, I trust Him with the timing.

And if they’re not, I have to trust that my life is still full of purpose, meaning, love, and value.

Because the same God who has a purpose for the woman who is married with children also has a purpose for the woman who isn’t.

I am not less of a woman. I am not less valuable. And I have not failed God simply because my life looks different than I imagined.

I’m learning that I can desire something deeply, grieve its absence, and still trust God with my future.

And maybe that’s what faith looks like in this season.

Not pretending I don’t want those things…

But believing that even without them, He is still enough. ❤️ by @kayladelane_

Julie captured this moment, but God spoke through it.

In this picture is a cracked clay jar… once used to store sacred scrolls … the words given directly from God.

This season is teaching me that being broken doesn’t disqualify me. It just makes room for His hands.

And today it reminded me:
I am the clay.
He is the Potter.

This season feels like it’s breaking me.
But broken doesn’t mean discarded.
It means reshaped.

As long as I keep the Word in me, I am still a vessel.
Perfectly broken. Still chosen.

Thank You Jesus for the best friend I always wanted and needed.

I remember praying back in middle school for someone I could truly call my girl best friend someone I could do everything with but most importantly someone who I could serve Jesus with. And along the way, I met many who looked the part but led me away from Jesus.

Then you came along. YOU called me higher, YOU told me not to be afraid of the deep, and YOU held my hand every step of the way. Walking with Jesus isn’t easy, but knowing you’re in the fire with me makes it so much more worth it.

Jesus is so kind to me…kind enough to bless me with a friendship and sisterhood like ours. I’m so glad it’s you. Life is sweeter with you in it.

I wouldn’t have survived this DC trip without you. Thank you for covering me and the team as we worshipped in DC! I’m forever grateful for you and your yes to Jesus.

Thank you leading me to a soft love with Jesus in mind.
