First day of 7th grade 💜 As we were doing our Bible affirmations this morning, Carter said, “I can’t believe I’ve been doing these for 7 years (we started them in 1st grade).” 😭

Now that I’ve had a reasonable amount of sleep and feel a little more human, I need to brag a bit. My fifth VBS is in the books and each year, I learn something new. Each year gets a little smoother and I learn each year how to make the following year better.

One thing that never changes and never fails to impress me is the way my church shows up. They donate items, help decorate, help organize, and dedicate their evenings into helping grow the kingdom. I have the best church family. They have such a servants heart and it’s such a blessing. They deal with my crazy shenanigans - some were even okay with getting pied in the face (don’t worry, I was too). Our youth group even showed up and showed out. This is the most teen volunteers I’ve ever had and they were INCREDIBLE! The amount of love and respect I have for my church people is unexplainable. Every year I’m blown away by the generosity and commitment these people have. They were rockstars! When you have a great volunteers, you have a great Bible school.

So, thank you to every person who prayed, donated, volunteered, decorated, or organized. I am so appreciative and honored to have people like you in my life! Thank you for your support and encouragement! You guys are amazing!

For nine years Jeni has enrolled me to be her assistant for every kids program. For nine years, I’ve told her “it’s fine. It’ll all work out” about a million times. In those nine years, I’ve given her many heart palpitations with my crazy ideas, but she hasn’t killed over yet. This was my last year helping with the Kids Christmas Play. We’ve been through a lot, but every year it always works out and is always amazing. So thankful for Rachel for taking my spot! I don’t have a photo from our first year, but our second year will have to do lol by @kaylaellen
