22 & Blue – Out Now!

After two years away from releasing music, I finally have a new song out. And there are a few people I need to thank!

@adynyoung for helping me with the early demo. @anth.agostino and the @cartel.australia team for helping me get back into the swing of releasing music. And @samhswain for being the best producer ever!!!

@sophiedekart for designing this beautiful cover art, and Nic @panorama_mastering for giving this song its final polish.

@sadiemustoe_music thank you for listening to me complain and cry about my love life like a broken record for two years straight… and for playing strings on this track!!!!!

And @_morgan_anthony_ thank you for letting me record our late-night DMs and weave them into this song. Living with you made my early 20s so memorable (remember that one time when…) Girlhood at its peak!

22 & Blue is now yours.

a couple of fun facts about me!

1. i LOVE reading. equal parts fiction + non-fiction, with a particular weakness for fantasy + the classics.
2. the State Library is a wedding venue… so i’ve successfully found the venue, just not the husband yet. not in a rush though, I’m just enjoying life, content where i am.

I got pretty burnt out the last time I released music, so this time around I told myself I was going to make the whole process a little more fun!

Like a lot of artists, I don’t exactly love the social media side of promoting music, so I’m really grateful @isla_hb jumped on board and made it feel like something to actually enjoy. We spent a very fun day running around the city, filming little videos and having a genuinely lovely day together.

Very grateful for good people who make the scary bits feel a little less scary. xx

There’s nothing quite like badly singing and dancing to your own music in the middle of Melbourne’s CBD to humble you and build a bit of character.

Sometimes I still find it crazy to think about where I was two years ago… and how grateful I am to be where I am now :)

To celebrate one week of 22 & Blue, I thought I’d share a little carousel of photos from my mum’s weddings.

There’s something really special about looking back at these and remembering that her love story didn’t happen in one straight line. My Mum married her childhood sweetheart at 22, and years later, got another shot at love and found her soulmate. Seeing both chapters has really helped me learn to be content with where I am, rather than feeling like I need to have everything figured out.

22 & Blue has officially been out for a week. Thank you for listening. Xx
