We’ve had this tree for a week and we just put lights and ribbon on at 10pm on a Saturday night 😆 Will add ornaments tomorrow. This is my calligraphy work space. However, it does not look like this currently 😁 I’ve been on a mission to de-clutter my regular desk because it got so piled with stuff that my calligraphy table also started to get cluttered 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ it’s taking me longer than I want but any little progress is better than none...especially when you have a newborn to care for! But hopefully I’ll have it done soon so I can start doing more calligraphy again!!

A little flashback to when I was first trying to learn new font styles! I’ve always been pretty good at drawing things when I have something to look at, so I definitely learn and get inspiration from others at first. I’ve come to make my own fonts that are comfortable for me, but I’m always up to learning more! 💖 by @kaylas_canvas

Life update! Our beautiful son was born healthy exactly 1 month ago and we have been enjoying every minute 🥰 We are limiting exposure to social media for now, but are happy to share pics privately.

This verse has been speaking to me this morning as I recognize the negative impact I’ve been letting social media have on my heart. I speak for myself (although I know this is a human struggle for all) when I say that it’s so easy to take offense to what others are saying and want to speak my mind and let my messages be heard over others’. God has revealed this to me about myself recently and this verse serves as His gentle reminder to me that we as humans are incapable of loving well when we let our anger rule our hearts and minds. Anger definitely has its place in making positive change, and we are allowed to feel anger as it is usually a secondary emotion stemming from hurt or pain. But we are responsible for ourselves in how we respond to it. I am now striving to hear the anger (hurt and pain) of others before jumping to conclusions or making assumptions and I believe that some of my own anger (hurt and pain) will dissolve when I seek to see others above myself. 🖤 by @kaylas_canvas

Success comes out of failing and falling, but choosing to learn and get back up anyways.
I used to be very uncomfortable with failing. So much so that I feared stepping out of my comfort zone. But in life, it’s inevitable that we will have setbacks and thankfully I learned how to come back.
More importantly, I learned that I was better (stronger, wiser, more resilient, etc.) because of those setbacks.
