Figured I would post a little introduction to kick off my new page!

My name is Mikayla and I am 28 years old. My husband and I have the dream scenario of Reader + Gamer! My hobbies include all things cozy; enjoying a warm cup of tea, jigsaw puzzles, reading, playing Dreamlight Valley!

I am a romantasy girl above all else but still love a good romance! My goal is to someday branch out into other genres as I continue to build my library.

I’m a sucker for tropes such as Enemies to Lovers, Found Family, Forced Proximity, and anything with Dragons 🤭

I look forward to sharing this new journey with y’all and really diving into my creative side while enjoying a good book 💟

A little match the books to my nails 😍

Happy Saturday my friends!! Started the day with some dreamlight valley, made cinnamon rolls, and hot chocolate 🥰

Happy Friday!!

The weekend is finally here and I am so happy! 🤍

I’m almost done with HOFAS and have finished the 4 books I set aside for October! I will only have one more week to get in some reading for this month since we are on our way to DisneyWorld and spending the week of Halloween (and my birthday) there 🥰

Ive had my eye on all of these recently and just now realized I must have been feeling purple!! Which one will I end up grabbing ?! Any suggestions? 🤭

Happy Monday Lovelies!

I can’t believe I am already on my last book from my TBR picks in October! I’m also about 35% of the way through HOFAS and will definitely wrap it up before the new release 🤩

I can’t wait to jump into the Legacy of Gods series, I’ve heard nothing but great things! Although the disclaimer on the front page almost made me reconsider…. Slightly 🤭

This book gave me all the fall cozy, semi cheesy 90s vibes I was wanting! 😍

Michelle was your closed off FMC who gave black cat energy and just wanted to help out at the inn and then go back to the city! The less attachments, the better!

Cliff was your MMC who was the small town sweetheart, baker, and the classic golden retriever opposite to her black cat.

I really enjoyed the banter between the two of them. And the dynamic of him helping her learn the ropes and be “warm”. There wasn’t only banter with Cliff and Michelle; Michelle and Rocket had some cute banter in there too! It reminded me a lot of Gilmore Girls with Luke and Lorelai and I was all for it 🥰

The book portrayed the Burke family as the sweetest little family, that anyone would love to have as a next door neighbor. The way the two houses blended together was so heartwarming, with the relationship not only forming between Cliff and Michelle but also with Michelle and Cliff’s two daughters.

I am all in when it comes to a single dad trope and it always pulls at the heart strings, because hello.. they tend to be overprotective 😏

I loved reading about the hints of the 90s, a discman, the tamagotchi, a movie rental store! It brought back a nostalgia that everyone will enjoy reliving.

If you haven’t read this book yet and are looking for an easy read that will give you all the cozy fall holiday feels, give this one a try! 🧡

✨Crescent City House of Sky and Breath ✨

I finally finished!!!

This book started with introducing new characters and at first I was like “great more people ?!” But as the book progressed and you see how everyone connects, I was all in! SJM does an amazing job when it comes to creating the found family aspect. I felt myself wanting to be in Bryce’s apartment conspiring with all of them and lounging on the couch!

And can we talk about Ruhn in this book?!? I mean I loved him in the first but THIS one, I’m sorry but he surpassed Hunt in my eyes🫣

I do wish there was a little more action. I fear there were some parts of the book that dragged and I didnt try to pick it up. However, THE ENDING OF THIS BOOK!!! Come on!! In classic SJM fashion, the last 20% of the book had me fully invested, not wanting to put it down!🤩

There were some reveals that had me reeling(Night and Day, iykyk) and my heart just broke for so many people throughout the book. I’m so glad I didn’t read this when it first came out because I would not have been able to handle not continuing the story right away.! Overall, obsessed with the progression of the story, the additional insight to Hel and the Asteri , even more character development, and the coupling, Finally!!!

An easy 4.5 ⭐️ for me 😍
